We have 2 FULL days at the Boardwalk Inn.. 5 of us...no parks those days. What are the "must do" things? I know we want to go see AoA but what else can we do that will be fun?

We're planning on spending 1 day at the beach, and another day at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I'm BEYOND thrilled to enjoy 2 awesome things FL has to offer, other then Disney! I wish we had more time, but I'm really just looking forward to the time.

We will have 5 days at Disney, but 1 of those will be at the beach and the evening at one of the firework shows. And then after WWHP, we'll go wander DTD! :D

We already have 10 days of park days when we stay at POFQ.. I want 2 days of NO parks.. just some good family time!
Oh my gosh! So many days! haha

I would definitely try some time for Universal or Seaworld, or the beach! It's a bit of a drive to the beach, but would be very worth it (I can almost smell the ocean!)

I

Pretty much exactly what the CM said when i called to add our 2nd BWI day..plus we have a water park day at the end of the trip. This is def an ALL out trip! Going to another theme park is not cost effective sadly and I hate the beach!

  • Parasailing behind the Contemporary Resort is a lot of fun.
  • Magic Kingdom Fireworks Cruise which boards at the Grand Floridian
  • Illuminations Fireworks Cruise which boards near the Yacht & Beach Club
  • There are other water craft activities at various resorts as well

We typically stay for 15 days and never miss a day in the parks. Everyday is certainly not a marathon, but many days we will go late or leave early and do many of the things that have been mentioned by the OP's. My philosophy is if I am in WDW, then I will go to the parks. I know that if my family decided to take a family day off from the parks (go to the pool, mini golf, shopping @ DTD or any of the other things) we would most likely get home and say we should have gone to the parks.

AP's are a man's best friend!

How old is everyone. When we had a couple days and no tickets we did the Back Stage Magic tour. Takes all day, doesn't require a ticket and they bus and feed you. It was a fabulous day.

we have the max days on our MYW tickets and more passes or APs for 5 people is not even remotely possible..

Okay here is a bucket list for free time at WDW:

1. Get some french press coffee from Kona at the POLY and sit around the lobby for an hours with a magazine
2. rent the bikes at the BWI and do a little bike riding around the lake for an hour
3. Monorail ride stopping at the GF for lobster mac n cheese lunch and some bath bombs
4. Browse DTD
5 Have a beer at the Big River Microbrewery at the BWI
6 Do a spa package at the Swan/Dolphin
7. take a boat from DTD to POR and back for fun
8. See the geyser and the farm at WL
9 Maybe go on a trail ride if it wasn't too hot at WL
10 Just kick back in a hammock with a book
11 I would send the kiddos on the pirate cruise things that are available in the morning
12 for nightime activity I would go to the piano bar
13 I would sit on the beach and watch the fireworks and water parade

These are some of the things I would do if I could just have free time all day away from the park:p

I'd say make your way over to Fort wilderness and do some exploring there. It's fun to see some of the ways people deck their campsites.
