We have 2 FULL days at the Boardwalk Inn.. 5 of us...no parks those days. What are the "must do" things? I know we want to go see AoA but what else can we do that will be fun?

We have 2 non-park days to start off our next trip. Our plans involve the following...

- check out the Boardwalk
- have ice cream at Beaches & Cream
- pool time + relax with drinks
- mini golf
- Downtown Disney & more relaxing with drinks
...and since we have dinner at Cali Grill one of the nights...a few little things in the MK/resort monorail area in addition to all of the fun w/dinner up there

Spend some time at the spa; my wife really enjoyed the one at the Grand Floridian but I'm sure the one at Saratoga Springs would be just as nice.

A half-day each at a water park and Disney Quest is a lot of fun.

Resort hop for shopping and dining. I enjoy the monorail loop tour but including a boat ride over to Ft. Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge is even better. Similarly the boat ride tour through the EPCOT-area resorts is really nice as well. The boat ride from Downtown Disney to Port Orleans is another adventure that takes you through parts of the World you'll never see otherwise.

It might be fun to just relax and take in all that your own resort has to offer, from swimming to dining to just relaxing.

we have the max days on our MYW tickets and more passes or APs for 5 people is not even remotely possible..

To make an AP more affordable, we take 2 trips within the calandar year (usually 11 months apart) and then skip the next year. With each trip being approx 15 days we get 30 days out of the AP, TIW card for dining and 10% of our purchases. Then you can also add in AP room discounts which helps to also defer cost.

10 day hopper = $400
Annual Pass = $611

For 5 that would be a $1055 premium which is a lot of $$$.

If you do get to go to the Grand Floridian, you may want to try their Afternoon tea! (not sure if your children, if boys, might enjoy that, though!!! but there is a game room there called Gasparilla's Island Grill and Games where they can have fun, while you relax in elegance!! :)

I'd say make your way over to Fort wilderness and do some exploring there. It's fun to see some of the ways people deck their campsites.
Yes Fort wilderness has lots to do. Horseback riding, archery, and other stuff. We're hoping to hit the free campfire fun on our trip.

I would do some resort hopping and check out all the great details. You can always take the bus to the MK and hop on the monorail and do the resorts around the SSL.

We just had 7 days with no parks (even though we surprisingly went on our last day) Here's what we did:
Downtown Disney (x2)
Rainforest Cafe
Walked around MK area resorts and entrance
Monorail/Ferry
Boardwalk and bike rentals
Mini Golf
Fireworks from Contemporary, mini golf place, Walmart parking lot, and our resort balcony. We could see anything over 100' at WDW from our balcony so I just stared at it and hey...my dream came true! (compliments of my grandmother's "magic lamp"...long story) :D
