2 AM Magic Kingdom EMH question

I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the magic kingdom for the 11 pm-2am emh and how the crowds were especially as the night went on. Is 2 am way too late to be there or did it seem normal at that time?

also, im sure disney still has the buses running at this time but how frequent are they and is it risky to stay until 2am if you are relying on a bus back to a resort like the yacht club?

Being in the park that late is awesome! The buses and monorails (resort track only) operate for one hour after the park closes.

Enjoy!!! Best time to be there!

In the Parks
Yes
It usually takes 50 min for the entire park to clear of all guests on EMH nights, so I think it's safe to say the crowd levels are pretty low by 2am

I've been to the MK till after 3 am (EMH ended at 3, but it takes awhile to empty the park) and I have been there when it was packed at that time and also when it was almost empty, it depends on the time of year. As a general rule though the crowds start to thin out as the end of EMH nears.

The buses, monorails and boats are still running and are pretty frequent as they need to empty the park. The year we stayed at the Boardwalk Inn the bus was packed like a sardine can so if you have a car you may want to use it.

I know that when we have been at the park till 2am or or, it clears out a lot after 1 am. I am usually dragging the closer it gets till 2, but the up side is that the lines are real short, and I've gotten some nice pics of Micky and pals at that time.

When I was there in June I was at Magic Kingdom on both a 2am and 3am closing, and I absolutely loved it.

Transportation isn't an issue, as Disney knows there are people to get home, and runs transportation accordingly.

On both of my really late nights the park was still pretty crowded at least the first couple hours of EMH, but that last hour virtually everything was a walk-on.

I was also able to get my favorite picture of our vacation...

After midnight is one of my favorite times in the MK. Trust me, there's nothing like a 2:55am ride on the Haunted Mansion, when you have the Stretching Room all to yourself... it's incredible. :)

Definitely one of the great times to be at MK. Since they tend to only offer this during the busy seasons, you can get a lot of park time to yourself if you stay late. Things are still pretty busy around midnight, but they taper off after 1. Most rides are walk on, or minimal wait for the coasters. If you have the chance, take it!

^ cool picture. You will definitely see a big drop in crowds as it gets closer to 2am.. It does get hard to stay up that late and your feet will surely be tired after running around all day though. It's worth taking a little break in the afternoon to recharge to make sure you can last the rest of the night, you will usually be walking right on the mountains by the end .
