1st time in a value...Should I be scared?

I have stayed in most on site disney hotels. The only ones I have not visited yet is The Animal Kingdom Lodge, The Contemporary or any of the Value's. Our funds are limited this year, but my wife is determined to go. I'm sure it will be a cultured shock when compared to the other hotels. But will it really be all that horrible.

Also I was wondering of the value's which one should I try.

If you are going to be spending a lot of time in the resort/room... why stay at disney at all. The only reason to stay at any disney resort is to go the parks... if you wanted to louse around in a hotel room there are better and cheaper ones all over the world.

I was just saying, because alot of people stay in the resort at night time, especially with little ones!!!!!

Well, I had the exact same feeling as you did We normally stay in Deluxe hotels (ex. Wilderness & Polynesian) because we want to be able to go back to our room and actually have "room" to just sit and relax than after go back to the park. In this case, for a value you probably won't be spending that much time in your room. We found in our room in Disney's All Star Sports, that there was plates and forks in a drawer that weren't ours and frito chips under the bed.

We stayed at Pop November 06 having previously stayed at POFQ, POR, CBR and BW. We had issues with a blocked toilet and were moved rooms very quickly, but we won't be returning to a Value. It was the little things that added up to a big thing such as....

1 sink instead of 2
no ceiling fan
no tea/coffee making facilities
no chest of drawers
and we found the food court wasn't as nice as the moderates

maybe we have just been spoilt in the past!!

Sometimes when you start higher up going down is a bit of a drag, but as you said, perhaps your spoiled. But there's no substite for the AC, hey? How was your trip, besides the resort problems? And how many times did you hit the AC?

which moderates have two sinks? We had 3 rooms and then friends of our came in for a fourth room all at CSR and none of our rooms had two sinks. We also had fewer drawers at CSR than at the values/pop. Does it vary from mod to mod? Does it vary from section to section at each mod? example...we stayed at Casitas #1, would we have had two sinks and more drawer space in Rancheros or Cabanas? Just curious for future info. Thanks
