When : May 5th-11th, 2018

I guess I could start with a little about myself. I'm 47 years old, I work for a major insurance company... bum bah dum dum pum pum pum! I'm an ex airline employee, and an ex travel agent. I knew I wanted to work for the airlines since I was 10 years old, and I love to travel more than anything else in this life. (can't afford to live on that crappy pay anymore though) And I haven't been to Disney since I was approx 24.

Scott my husband is 45 and disabled, failed back surgery. And though he can walk, we don't think he can Disney walk... so we are renting an ECV. He has 2 boys who have never been to Disney. And he hasn't been since he was 6-7 so about 39 years?

Plans:
Day 1 - Arrive MCO 1210pm, My plan this day is to find some chow at the POP food court and we will nap for an hour or so. Hopefully I can score some good fastpasses for the afternoon. And I've made a reservation (shhhhh it's a surprise) for the HEA dessert party. Garden view. DH hates crowds, and I'm not a big fan... and I figured this way we could stretch out in the garden view, have room for the ECV, and it would just be more comfortable for the both of us.
Day 2 - MK - BOG Lunch at 1130am, Hoop Dee Doo Revue at 615p
Day 3 - Epcot - Flower and Garden food booths for lunch, Chefs des France at 630p, Beaches and cream for dessert at 10pm
Day 4 - Off day - Swimming and meeting my cousin at the Polite Pig for lunch in Disney springs. Depending on how we are feeling, maybe head to epcot for EMH later?
Day 5 - AM - MK? PM - HS - Hubby wants to make the trek to WL to trying roaring fork for breakfast. We have reservation for BOG for lunch, but we may drop those and go to columbia Harbour House instead, Dinner is Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre (hubby's choice)
Day 6 - AK - Only Character meeting - Tusker house 810am, Santu'li for lunch, Cape May Cafe for dinner.

I can't make FP's yet... soon though... 11 days.

We are super excited, and all my past travel professional experience has made investigating everything Disney easier... it's made me want to become a TA again.... but again... Pay... can't live on that!

71 days!

Have you used the Publix delivery before? I was wondering how that worked. We have used Garden Grocer before and I was thinking about using them again for July, but if Publix is just as easy and cheaper....:)

No, this is our first time at Disney in more years than I am old combined, but I read that the first delivery with them is free, so what a great opportunity to try it right? I don't think there is a minimum order, which is what turned me off from Garden Grocer. And publix had more choices of the things we are ordering.

I'll try to remember to mention in my trip report how that goes!

I've used Garden Grocer, Amazon Prime Now and the Instacart delivery from Publix. Instacart was great, they delivered right to our room, someone does have to be there to receive it. The shopper kept me updated if things were out of stock and asked if she could substitute, she was super fast and let me know when she was on her way, when she arrived at the resort, and it was very easy. We like Amazon Prime Now cuz it gets dropped off at Bell services so we don't have to be there. However you can't get alcohol from Amazon.

That's good to know. I just did a side by side comparison, and prime now.. although it doesn't have exact matches, it does save about $6 and not having to be there is a bonus. It'll have milk, will bell services know to put it in the cooler? I am planning a nap after lunch before we go to the park on the first day, so we should be in the room.... how long would you say after your ordered your shopper brought your packages?

Prime Now let's you pick your delivery window, so I usually pick a range when I think I'll be able to pick it up relatively soon. So if I'm going to be at resort for an afternoon nap, I do 2p-4p. But Bell services holds the items, cold items are put in a cold bag inside the paper bag with ice packs and are labeled to be kept cold.

Well, for those I am meeting while in Disney, look no further than the gal with the cast on her hand. Tripped in a pothole while i was crossing the street and broke my 3rd metacarpal down in my hand. cast next week when swelling goes down. I can do Disney with a cast, right?

I would've hit "like" but I just can't when a cast is involved!! It will make you much more noticeable though, and make an awesome tan line. ;) Did you at least get a good color(s) for your cast?

It might not be a cast but it does look like it is removable for showering and such. That is a plus. When my husband broke his ankle we were so thankful he didn't have a cast that would have made showering a tough gig, we were happy with a wrap and boot.

right! I'm thankful! and the gal who made the splint gave me extra velcro so I could go swimming with it on.
