1995 Snow White Rennovation?

For some reason I remember the Queen "dumping" a bolder on the ride vehicles in Florida. It's been a long time ago though. Probably pre-1995.

Yes, it was either a big bolder or big diamond. I always remembered it being a diamond but am most likely wrong as the story has it as a bolder. I know that snow white was not in the ride either that was added.

AND after she dumped it, the finale scene was rather cartoonish, like you got your head pounded. The zig zagging lights, strobe lights, blinking lights, and wacky colored shapes on the wall all addded to the effect.

In summation, I, too, believe children should learn to be scared. The original version scared me so much so my parents had to coax me onto Small World, even after I had already been on it. :lol:

I prefer the original version, but do not mind the current one. Still a fun can't miss ride.

And it loads beautifully w/o Fastpass, unlike Pooh and Pan, on a side note.

I did like the older one too and miss it, but not nearly as much as the old PoTC. The changes in there are overboard. Everyone is too sensitive now a days. Pirates were thieves and robbers, do they have to be all "niced up".

I do not remember the scarry version at all... but i remember in most o fht eolder rides your supost to be the main character.... which was interesting approach... now it is more of a movie seeing everything take palce and your a minor character....

Yes, you are right it was suppose to be like you were the main character in the show. The problem with the new version is while they tried to make it more like a show you are watching they still left parts where you are in it. Like the scene with the aligator logs attacking the vehicle. I think they should have left it the old way.

That's what I remember about the "original" as well - it seemed like around every corner, the Old Hag was popping out at you, because you were Snow White and she really wanted you to eat that apple.

In the new version, you are an observer to what is going on around you, so you see Snow White, and there is less emphasis on having the Hag scare you.

OMG i was truely terrified of the original scary snow white i guess pre-1995....it took me about 10 years to go back on it. I refused to go on it...it scared the ________ out of me lol......I finally went back on it on Grad Nite and thats because my friends made me....and they promised to hold my hand...lol...but then a CM popped out from behind the doors and scared us....that def didn't help..lol....That ride seriously gave me nightmares....ugh scary...:::shutter:::

I know this is a zombie thread now, but I did a google search for the cartoon starbursts on 1971 Snow White and this thread is GOLD.

in cartoon fashion, they did an effect with strobe lights and blinking lights and funky shaped colorful cutouts that looked like a "freak-out...ala in the boat tunnel in the Willy Wonka movie--"What is this, some kind of freak out?!")

Ah, crap, that scene... I have a vendetta against that scene because of something that happened recently with my family. At least it's not the Violet scene that creeps always seem to like.

I think the cartoon starbursts looked like a Coyote & Road Runner cartoon.

RIP Snow White's Adventures (1971-1994) it lasted longer than the new version (1994-2012)
