Alright, so @Mickeynerd17 you're gonna be on City Park with Dash!

Also, let’s not get too caught up on the New Orleans of it all, it’s still a shopping center with first and third party locations, it’s just set in a New Orleans esque town. Use the architecture of the respective areas for structures, but don’t worry if the inside isn’t New Orleans themed.

For French Quarter we have Marketplace, it’ll be just a shopping center with our World of Disney, Christmas Shop, Goofys Candy Co, Star Wars and Marvel shops, pin store, rainforest cafe, etc.

Audubon Park takes a more Antebellum architecture style and will be more focused on dining than shopping, with some third party shops, but mostly great dining locations

City Park will be more third party shopping locations with some dining and just have more of a bayou/Cajun aesthetic to the architecture.

We don’t need to go too in depth making sure everything IS New Orleans, just use New Orleans as a backdrop for a plussed up Disney strip mall

Is there a solid description for what you’re looking for in Audubon Park? I don’t exactly know what the goal for the area is.
Function-wise, this sounds like the fancy restaurant section. (Disney Springs equivalent: No damn clue) To be located in between Grand American and the rest of the shopping district. More natural and garden like and full of antebellum mansions. I’ll personally be taking inspiration from New Orleans’ Garden District neighborhood:

@PerGron et al, what sort of restaurant breakdown are we looking at here? How many original, highly-themed eateries? How many high-end chains?

What is the name of this shopping area?

Also, we NEED a streetcar trolley ride traversing the entire shopping district! Do not argue this! It fits New Orleans, it’s beautiful and kinetic, and other well-themed shopping districts (only - GASP! - not Disney ones) already do this. I’ll happily handle this addition

For reference besides Port Orleans (since New Orleans is an actual place we should be taking reference from, not a hotel) here is the architectural style I was envisioning

French Quarter
Bright, eclectic, energetic, think Bourbon Street and Mar

Audubon Park
Antebellum architecture, clean, refined, make it feel like you’re in a wealthy part of town. Just don’t make anything super plantation-y, just focus on the architecture as storefronts

City Park
Not entirely accurate to City Park’s actual architecture, but this will feel more like you’re out in the bayou. More rustic architecture with willow trees and whatnot. It’ll still be warm and inviting, but like a lakeside cottage more than a bustling city street

For Audubon Park, at least in my opinion, I think you should go for more original highly-themed eateries while French Quarter takes the chains for the most part.

I’d say depending what you’re doing for stores, try like 3 or 4 sit-down restaurants and a qs or 2? Whatever you guys decide to do is fine, don’t overwork yourselves, I can fill in if needed for things too

This goes without saying, but...

We gonna have a House of Blues, yes?

Perhaps in a repurposed industrial/warehouse building in the City Park area?
House of Blues goes without saying!

I like that, I was gonna say put it in city park too in more of a rustic cabin, but either works!

For one of the sides, I think a jazz club would be good idea. Make it a place with live jazz music and maybe a dueling pianos type deal.

While we break-up into groups, we don't want to accidentally claim a headliner shop or restaurant that's already in another district. For that reason, I'll be making a list of every shop in the French Quarter. For now it's mostly TBA, but as we move forward this post will be continuously updated to make sure there aren't any repeats in the shopping district.

So far, we'd like to claim the World of Disney and the Rainforest Cafe. Of the districts, the French Quarter will lean more towards shopping, Audubon more to dining, and City Park more to entertainment, but there's still going to be dining, entertainment, and shopping in all three districts.

Random idea for a World of Disney theme: A Mardis Gras parade float warehouse. You can incorporate the Disney characters (Fab Five) into the masquerade decor nicely.

I might want to battle you over the riverboat...Audubon Park wants it too!

Disney Quarter is speaking to me...
I agree! I really like Disney Quarter!

I had no ideas for the riverboat, I just thought it'd fit in along the water. Audubon can have it!
@NigelChanning09 had the idea for the boat to actually meander the lagoon. Since Audubon Park is the food-heavy area, it seems a good fit. Thanks!

What's the group consensus on PATF? It's obvious and overplayed, but would it be missed if we ignored it? Team Aubudon is debating a Tiana's Place restaurant.

I say include Tiana's Palace, but limit PATF to that (and maybe a Dr. Facilier Voodoo Shop). The interiors could be obviously PATF, but I suggest keeping the exterior realistic and blend with the rest of the district.
