Also, how realistic are we aiming for here?

Realism means that Mary Poppins would more than likely be Mary Poppins Returns than the original but I feel like more people here think the original
I think using regular original Mary Poppins is totally fine. We're doing mainly Frozen instead of Frozen II, so it doesn't have to be the newest installment I don't think

So, for the Castle Courtyard me and @Outbound are doing, I assume we are gonna be going lighter on IP or use them in more general ways? There's not a real ride here, but probably streetmosphere or two and a few shops/dining. A couple interactive experiences like BBBoutique or the Sword in the Stone.

That sound more or less right?
Also you get the pleasure to flesh out what happens inside Snow White Castle!

Checklist and goals for today:

I think today each group should give a small, rough draft outline of your sub-land. This can help us not repeat IPs and keep us on track for the rest of the week. I think another we need to do is cap off a limit of attractions, dining, shows, and retail per subland so it isn't too crowded. Also, I think @Mickeynerd17 is the only person left that needs to pick a job. I will start to fill in the list with all of the attrations and stuff once groups submit them.

CASTLE COURTYARD ( @Pi on my Cake @Outbound )

LONDON SPRING ( @AceAstro )

SUMMER FESTIVAL ( @NateD1226 @b-wolf95 )

FALL FOREST ( @NigelChanning @pix @Brer Panther )

WINTER MOUNTAIN ( @DashHaber @PerGron )

PRINCESS E-TICKET ( @NigelChanning09 )

GARDEN OF SEASONS ( @D Hindley )
Sorry, I've been asleep🤣🤣

I'll gladly do the castle courtyard and the walkthrough!

I'm also going to try and model the exterior of the land too.

Winter Mountain is a sub-land that will definitely have plenty of snow in its design, but there is a slight split in its theming.

When guests first enter this sub-land, they will step foot into the Holiday Village. This Victorian-style village will have festive decorations about, as if the town is in the midst of celebration. Among the quaint buildings, guests will find two rides: a gentle "whip" ride based upon the Once Upon a Wintertime segment from Melody Time and a Mickey's Christmas Carol dark ride.

As guests head further in, the architecture gently shifts away from the Victorian aesthetic into the Nordic design of Arendelle. Here, guests will find a meet and greet place where they can see Anna and Elsa, along with taking a fun ride on a Frozen roller coaster through the mountainside and into Elsa's ice palace.

The courtyard should feature 2 classic-style Fantasyland dark rides and I'm imagining the buildings will have a "castle wall" that runs behind them and then be like MK's castle wall entrance from new Fantasyland and open out into the other areas.

Since I worked with @D Hindley on the castle in round one, I'll be happy to work on the walkthrough since I have some
ideas on what to do. I'm planning on having it both tell the story of Snow White while also showing rooms that an actual castle would have.

Guests walk through the village taking in the wonderful scenery and celebrations. They make their way under festival tents and near a beautiful lake. An animatronic Sebastian puts on a show for the guests waiting in the queue as he causes some water to shoot up. Mushu, who is standing next to Sebastian, causes fire to shoot out of the water. An animatronic Meeko pops in and out of baskets. Guests board their boats and set off on their adventure. After traveling around the village, the boats enter a cave and make their way to a magic forest under the twinkling night sky. The boats magically turn to face a scene starring the Fairy Godmother, Grandmother Willow, and Grandma Tala, who is presented using the peppers ghost effect. The Fairy Godmother welcomes the guests and reminisces about the princess’ upbringing. With a wave of her wand, she sends the boats quickly to the next scene.

We hear the echoes of Snow White’s song and see her face projected onto the water in front of us. The next scene shows Cinderella cleaning the floors of Tremaine Manor. She sings “Sing Sweet Nightingale” and bubbles fall from the ceiling. They pass through a mist screen with Cinderella, who is dancing with Prince Charming, projected onto it.

Now the guests are under the sea, and the boats circle around Ariel on top of a rock singing “Part of Your World” to the guests. The scene transitions to the Beast’s Castle’s courtyard. Belle and her horse, Phillipe, stand in the snow watching the Beast with birds on his arms. She sings “Something There”.

Now in the city of Agrabah, the boats circle around Aladdin and Jasmine during “A Whole New World” as they float right above the water. We transition to Mulan’s garden and watch her sing “Reflection” while pepper’s ghost effects of her ancestors watch from afar. Now in the heart of the North American wilderness, Pocahontas sings “Just Around the Riverbend”. The background behind her moves to create the illusion that we are moving alongside her while being stationary.

Now in the kingdom of Corona, the boats circle about Rapunzel and Flynn singing “I See the Light”. Lanterns float all around to create a beautiful scene. The boats enter a Scottish setting and see Merida on her horse singing “Touch the Sky” by a beautiful waterfall. We enter Arendelle during “Some Things Never Change” as Anna and Elsa as well as Olaf and Kristoff sing to the guests and show off the flag of Arendelle. The next scene shows Moana on the edge of Motonui, while she belts “How Far I’ll Go”. The final scene is the waltz between Aurora and Philip. Along the sides are all of the princesses included in the attraction plus more like Megara, Jane, Kida, and Vanellope. We go back outside and unload.

What do y’all think? I decided to remove Megara’s song because it’ll probably be in the Hercules attraction, which I still think is happening (?).

I love the walkthrough idea, though Shanghai does have something similar. I think we could top what they have though. And it will be good to have someone who worked on the castle lending us a hand.

I believe all the actual rides are supposed to be in the seasons though. So, the courtyard wouldn't have any dark rides. So, if those are what you're looking for you might be more interested in a different group. The Courtyard is more or less just supposed to be shops, dining, streetmosphere, and whatever goes in the castle.

I absolutely love this! I just don’t know if we should include IP that is going to be present in other lands like Frozen and Tangled. I just don’t want it to seem repetitive.

I think it's fine so long as they don't get heavy focus. Where the goal is to incorporate all the princesses, I think not including Anna, Elsa, and Rapunzel would hurt the ride to not include them
