1986 - House of the Future (Week Five)

While I see where you’re coming from, Future World also works as a high E-ticket count land is because it’s half the park. Depending on the time, it has had 3-5 E-tickets as half the park. Not 3-5 as a fifth of the park here
That’s a fair point too.

Hmmm...

So, Horizons as an E-Ticket is something I definitely think we should have, and I know Nigel is pretty excited about Iron Man, so I’d hate to cut that one, even if it is the only IP attraction.

I think Inner Space Mountain is a great idea, but if iron man is a coaster, having two may be a bit much, but at the same time, MK will soon have two coasters right next to each other in Tomorrowland.

LWTL is a D-ticket, but if need be, I can cut it down to a C or even a walkthrough, though I’d personally love to keep my new concept as is structure-wise.

The subs is the biggest thing here that I think we can toss around. I feel like thematically it’d fit really well, but it would have a massive footprint and be another E-ticket, plus the Siren Escape is a submarine-themed ride, so I don’t know what to do here.

There’s really no way to make these smaller ticket attractions either,

I would agree with all of these points.
It might be better to do a people mover style ride instead of the subs since that's a lower ticket attraction. Also, for those of of you who don't know, the Communicore buildings were designed to have a people mover run through them, so that could work.

I think a peoplemover would honestly be perfect. Utopian public transport that runs on green energy? Yes please!

If it’s necessary to cut Iron Man, that’s fine.
Unless, and this is just another theme to toss out...

We could hypothetically do a Marvel-themed Tomorrowland. Now, I know Marvel is done to death here, but it is incredibly popular and could fit. We could have the Iron Man attraction and Inner Space could be an Ant-Man attraction. Idk, just an idea because might as well toss out another. Although, writing it out, it doesn't really fit the theme of the park, and while I quite enjoy Marvel, it is brutally overdone, but it is an option

I don't think we need to cut it. But simplifying it to a C-Ticket shooter like Buzz might help the land be a bit more balanced.

Between that change, the subs being a peoplemover instead, and Living with the Land staying in the C/D thae land feels a lot more evened out,
I think we can do that and keep the same story. That would definitely help to balance out the land and keep it realistic yet still the best land it can be. I barely have to make changes to the initial concept and message so it works perfectly!

Touching base, many hours later...

So it seems pretty settled that InnerSpace Mountain will be our Space Mountain enclosed roller coaster equivalent, with the Iron Man attraction subbing for the Buzz Lightyear blaster ride.

Most of this coaster is something I can do without worrying too much about anything else in the la. What are we thinking for the exterior look? Like a variation on the classic John Hench white mountain dome, perhaps with a big Mighty Microscope sloped up on one side? And with some eco-future detailing and textures, perhaps inspired by Gardens by the Bay or the Eden Project?

And how does a coaster about exploring the microscopic & subatomic world connect to our green future theme? I’d like to let the overall land concept dictate the premise and such.

Lastly, what sort of coaster should this be? We could easily use the traditional DL/TDL/HKDL Space Mountain format, or we could do a bold new idea like they did with the motorbike coaster in SDL. I’d like to hear what sort of coaster you guys would like to see.

Oh, and...since there’s some Marvel happening elsewhere...Ant-Man in InnerSpace? Maybe not at a permanent theme, but maybe as a seasonal overlay for like a Summer of Superheroes type event?

Sounds good! I downloaded a Space Mountain onto Sketchup and can easily add a microscope + green decals!
