WB already had a shaky slate for 2021 sure to have a couple of high profile bombs. Giving up this years box office in order to get a HUGE year for their streaming service that had a bungled launch is probably a really smart move. Especially since it wouldn't be till half way through the summer blockbuster season that vaccines would really start to have a major effect on the general population. And delaying movies adds so much to marketting costs. With uncertainty of this next year and it already being a weaker slate, this is definitely smart for WB. Hoping theaters are able to come out the other end of covid alright though. But there'll always be an audience for big blockbusters in theaters once things are back to normal.

I agree. I really hope Disney does something like this. Maybe with Premier Access for some of them, but instead of paying for each one you pay $30 for all the movies under Premier Access. Plus Disney+ needs new content badly so let’s hope some stuff gets moved.

Speaking of Disney+, exactly 1 week till Disney Investor Day where we will be getting a whole bunch of new shows, concept art, and release dates for Disney+!!! Very excited!

I'm curious the response from Disney+ to this. I can't see theaters suddenly becoming a thing again anytime soon. It'll take some mental time to view them as 'safe' after all this, so this is a very smart move

Disney+ in 2021 is looking much stronger than 2020 even without movies. Especially since D+ releases episodes weekly which spreads things out.

But I'd still love to see the movies come to Disney+ too. I got no issue with Premier Access if it is something I'm interested in and theatrical quality. Seeing a movie in theaters with 3 people is 30 bucks anyways. And this can be rewatched too.

Yeah the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, and the Cassian Andor series just started filming so I am hoping for a late 2021 release date!

I'm hugely excited for Thor 4 and Shang Chi (I love the lead actor, he is one of the stars in Kim's Convenience). But other than maybe those two I totally agree.

What is interpol

A good post punk band! Not everyone's cup of tea, but I've always loved them (not a fan of the newer albums though). Not really sure how "big" they are but a song was once played in a friends episode if that counts as something haha. Anyways here's some songs before I go into an interpol tangent

I do like the multiverse angle that we seem to be headed towards, for me what sells it is now that we've entered the streaming Golden age, I'm very interested in seeing less formulaic action movies and more character driven lower budget shows over weeks at a time

Stuff like Daredevil was fantastic but it never got the MCU attention. Now with the MCU focus you can really get to know characters you might have only seen for like 30-45 mins in a movie

I'm really only super hyped Doctor Strange and the Mulitverse of Madness and Spider-Man 3 (which technically isn't really Disney/Phase 4 official). A lot of the characters coming from the Disney+ shows and DS&MOM are shaping up the rumored Young Avengers movie. Hawkeye has Kate Bishop (which looks great from the set photos), Ms. Marvel is obviously a teenager, America Chavez in DS&MOM, Wanda and Vision's twins, etc. I'm getting off topic now, so let me get back to the original topic lmao. Once trailers and posters start showing up I probably will become more hype for all the Phase 4 movies.

I could also see the D+ villains down the road turn into a Thunderbolts team. There's a rumor that's why Black Widow has to come out before Bucky & Winter Soldier since they have some crossover.
