....dontcha know it's the orneriest, most cantankerest souls that hang in for the long-haul???
Just kiddin'!
My father-in-law had his 2nd run-in with "The Big C" earlier this year. Even tho he'd already had it once before it's like you said. He heard the "C-word" and he was crushed thinking this was it - game over. Thankfully, he found his fighting spirit. We all rallied with him and, once again, he's put the smack-down on it again. I think in the process of it all his perspective has forever been changed. He's told my hubby & the hubby's next younger brother he's sure it'll be the "C" that gets him in the end...just not too soon. He's not done here yet. LOL!
I know it's been a brutal journey for you and your loved ones. Great big kuddos to all of ya for pulling out the win. Never ever ever give up or give in, right?!
