FANTASYLAND FASTPASS -- Alice's Caucus Race
Propose a new Fantasyland streetmosphere show

latest

Outside of Alice in Wonderland, the denizens of Wonderland gather together, led by Mr. Dodo, to run forward, backward, inward, and outward, running for ever more in a race that has no start or beginning, inviting guests to join in the mayhem.
Alice’s Caucus Race
@Evilgidgit

This is the sort of thing where, if I didn’t like Alice in Wonderland especially well, there’s not much else to win me over, not like a musical or dance performance which isn’t quite as IP-dependent, especially when many of the cartoon characters as seen in your image would be very difficult to pull off on a limited streetmosphere budget.

Fantasy-Land: An “unexpected” duel

The show starts with one of the actors “challenging the other to a duel” (both of which wearing exaggerated medieval clothing), as they partake in an (again) exaggerated “totally real & spontaneous” fencing match, with audience participation thrown in (like one of the actors asking a guest to hold their (prop) sword as they partake in a duel of words with the other)
An “Unexpected” Duel
@Pufflefan

This live show of chivalric arts could run into the same challenges as @b-wolf95 ‘s proposal, particularly when guests are picked at random to hold (prop) swords & such, which – unless there is great care and preplanning like with those Sword in the Stone Excalibur shows – is just asking for chaos.
BATTLE FOR NEVERLAND
when the crew of jolly roger invades fantasyland, its up to peter pan and his lost boys to fight them off in a battle that incorporates acrobatic stunts, special effects, and dazzling choreography, culminating in a duel between peter and captain hook.
Battle for Neverland
@Imagineer Sroo

There is so, so, so, so, so much pyrotechnics in this streetmosphere stunt show(a genre which I already have misgivings about), that it sounds better-suited for a permanent theater show like a smaller-scale version of Universal’s Waterworld…not so much something which can be staged anyplace with ease.

Fantasyland Fastpass: The Mad Hatter's Tea Party Basics
View attachment 492851
Alice and the Mad Hatter have opened up a new area near Small World at Disneyland where they teach the basics of a perfect tea party which features singing, other Fantasyland characters, and overall fun!
The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Basics
@NateD1226

For a character-driven show, this one comes a lot closer to working for my tastes, in part because it could be staged using little more than preexisting live performers (both costumes & face characters) and a few hidden speakers, all in a way which deepens the existing Fantasyland style.

Fantasyland
It's a small world
Cast members from around the world join together for a quaint spectacle of dancing and music from around the world - a tapestry of nations come to Fantasyland
It’s a Small World
@spacemt354

While the description is a little vague, this tapestry of nations concept is very close to streetmosphere as I see it – a worldly cultural show (dancing & music, basically) with just the right amount of Disney pixie dust to fit the setting.

One Jump Ahead - A new mini-Agraba Marketplace is set up to fit into the world of Aladdin: complete with Aladdin himself where guests can see him stay "One Jump Ahead" of the guards hidden throughout the marketplace waiting to keep an eye out for Aladdin trying to steal more bread!
One Jump Ahead
@AceAstro

By centering around Aladdin’s song “One Jump Ahead,” which allows for a broader and more comedic sort of performance versus the various proposed stunt shows, I think you’ve created a more realistic concept…even though it’s something that belongs in Adventureland (or DisneySea’s Arabian Coast, actually).

FANTASYLAND FASTPASS
Alice and The Mad Hatter take over the paths of Fantasyland with a pop up tea party and story time with a few rotating stories and occasionally interrupted by the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit, or the March Hare.
@gam3rprincess

I loved the approach @NateD1226 took to his Alice in Wonderland for very similar reasons, as they two of you have basically the same (very lovable) idea - a live tea party with preexisting costumed characters, with yours standing out nicely with the rotating story element!

FANTASYLAND FASTPASS -- HADES RECRUITS
View attachment 493077

Hades, Pain, and Panic wander Fantasyland in search of new recruits, all the while Hades complains he is "surrounded by incompetency" and the other two unmeaningly prove all of Hades points, eventually they settle in an open area and ask nearby guests to line up for an "interview" with Hades to determine whether they would make for good villains, in which Hades welcomes in all the child "candidates" and makes fun of all the adult "candidates".
Hades Recruits
@Outbound

I should've made a separate, unrelated character meet 'n' greet prompt, because this to me seems more in that style than in the style of streetmosphere, since despite the rather dialogue-heavy show element this is more of a chance for guests to interact with costumed Disney characters (rare ones!) and get some photos with them.

FANTASYLAND FASTPASS - The Muses
View attachment 493080

Opening up in Fantasyland is a Greek theater inspired stage that hosts a show featuring the muses from Hercules as they retell stories and folklore from throughout Greek mythology and proceed to reenact them along with some musical numbers.
The Muses
@Tux

We're going all in on Hercules all of a sudden, and in this case doing the film more justice (as streetmosphere things go) with an appropriate cultural performance component, and even if the Muse show combines elements of more modern gospel music it still has the Greek theater angle which endears itself to me.

Country Bear Character

Frontierland Fastpass: Mary Sue
800px_COLOURBOX9783115.jpg

So named because of her deliberately overly-cutesy, no-flaws nature, this adorable little tyke puts her country spin on the classic children's song "The Teddy Bears' Picnic"...but that doesn't stop Melvin, Buff and Max from reacting negatively to how cutesy the act is.
Mary Sue
@DisneyManOne

I kinda wasn’t sold on her at first very much because I don’t like the Mary Sue trope (seemingly you don’t either), which is why the heckling which she endures from Melvin, Buff & Max is so welcome, which actually rescues this cloyingly cutesy act and lets you have your cake while eating it too.

Frontierland Fastpass: Louisa Anna
Coming in from little ole New Orleans with her diatonic accordion, Louisa Anna makes a swinging appearance to the playhouse, bringing with her a rambunctious, festive Creole spirit much to the chagrin of some of the bears; who occasionally banter with her about it.
Louisa Anna
@Suchomimus

With her accordion and Creole style, Louisa Anna is a very good addition to Bears’ musical repertoire (the New Orleans sound is country-adjacent and distinctive – it adds a bunch without distracting); if only Louisa had a distinct appearance, she would be a perfect new Bear! (Fantastic pun name, BTW.)

Frontierland: New Character For the Country Bear Jamboree
Jack E. Lopp
, a banjo-playing jackalope who hides his horns under a large top hat, constantly interrupts the show and begs Henry to give him a job - when reminded that he's not a bear, he just shrugs and goes, "Well, nobody's perfect."
Jack E. Lopp
@Brer Panther

I’d predicted another Fearsome Critter from you after they were so successful before, and simply because of the repetition factor (and maybe too much playing-it-safe?) this won’t be a medaling concept…though the visual of a dapper jackalope interrupting the show is indelible.

Traveling from far up north with his hurdy-gurdy, Paul R. is a polar bear who brings a chilly disposition as he plays his songs…at least until Teddi Beara appears, and he becomes a stammering mess!
Paul R.
@DashHaber

Paul R. undeniably feels like a stranger in Country Bear Hall, which seems to be the point, though picturing Paul’s role in the show is rather difficult…especially without any hint about what sort of songs he plays.

Frontierland
Father Dill Wilbur
Father Dill Wilbur is a Country Bear priest who sings “Old Country Church,” easily identified by his graying fur, circular spectacles, a powerful, perfect-for-sermons voice, and gentle nature.
Father Dill Wilbur
@InspectorSpacetime

Marc Davis’ Country Bear designs so wonderfully sum up an elaborate personality in a single image, and even connect that personality to a particular style of country music, which is something you’ve managed to do entirely with words in a single sentence, going above the competition with a specific song and everything!

Frontierland Fastpass: Bill N. Bear
A major investor in the Country Bear Theater, this foppish bear has forcefully joined the show in order to try to show off his understanding of the rural lifestyle - keyword: try.
Bill N. Bear
@b-wolf95

As the theater’s investor, Bill helps strengthen the illusion that guests are watching an actual live show, warts and all, and while Bill doesn’t add to the musical revue side of things at all, he works as a comedic interlude similar to Melvin, Buff & Max.

Shoelace Rudy, who has been working at the Country Bear Hall for years as an unnoticed janitor, makes periodic appearances during the show, grumbling about the noise, the mess, and searching eternally for that beehive he stored for next hibernating season, only to find it in was under his hat the whole time -- having a real beehive in his bonnet.
Shoelace Rudy
@Evilgidgit

Like Bill N. Bear, Shoelace Rudy works as a humorous intrusion into the show, and is just as good even while these two bears have polar opposite personalities.

View attachment 492894
FRONTIER-LAND: HON. E. BEAR.
This book smart bear may just be a backer of the country bears, but she’s far too headstrong to let a show go by without adding a little city flair with her own performance, unfortunately she isn’t the great singer she thinks she is, but no own wants to lose an Investor of the band.
Hon E. Bear
@Pufflefan

We get our second bearish investor (who really needs a bull for a business partner), one who has the potential to be a good inclusion – a poor performance which the Country Bears are obliged to sit through, this is a fun premise – if there was more specificity about just what sort of bad music Hon E. delivers.

SILVA GOLDMAN
a bear of few words, suave and stylish silva is content to back the other bears with his smooth saxophone, though he'll give a solo or two if badgered.
Silva Goldman
@Imagineer Sroo

Smooth saxophone, the sort Duke Silver plays, seems out-of-place in down home Country Bear Hall, bringing in carpetbaggin’ city slicker vibes which are at odds with the show’s familiar good ol’ bears.

FRONTIERLAND FASTPASS -- BO, THE BLUES BEAR
View attachment 493075
Bo is a suave "blues bear" with a very deep voice, never to be found without his sunglasses and black suit... he'll break up the songs by singing his "All About The Blueees, Man" Mix while the other bears provide a solid beat in the background.
Bo the Blues Bear
@Outbound

Not the first blue-infused bear of the night, and the same critiques apply, that it just feels way way waaaaay to left-field among the Country Bears, when really an idea like this demands an entirely new attraction, like a Blues Bears Club in an urban 1930s/40s land with an entirely new original roster of bears to join Bo...yeah, that'd do it!

FRONTIERLAND FASTPASS - Jascha
Jascha is a short greyish-brown bear with a droopy face, muzzle, and large ears, who also wears a bandana and overalls, he's kind of prideful but ultimately very cheerful and encouraging, he plays a fiddle throughout the show, and sings 'Thank God I'm A Country Bear' (A cover of 'Thank God I'm A Country Boy' by John Denver) later on in the show.
Jascha

Thank God @Tux is a Country Bear fan, because Jascha here gets all of the notes spot-on dead-to-rights perfect, from a very Marc Davis-esque visual description which paints a picture to a musical number which filled a specific country music niche. Wonderful work, and a great thing to see at the very end of this epic, epic challenge!
