Just got around to making an account here and figured I might as well make my Imagineering debut as well... even if I have exactly zero chances of winning the competition. 😅

Main Street Fastpass: Frozen Frolics
Just in time for Christmas, the Main Street Emporium has debuted a new set of windows displays celebrating the winter season: Chip and Dale messing around with ornaments in a Christmas Tree, Bambi and Thumper skating on the ice, young Anna and Elsa building a familiar-looking snowman, Jack and Sally embracing on the snow-covered Corkscrew Hill, Andy's toys preparing to meet the new toys under the tree, and Scrooge spending Christmas with the Cratchits.

Tomorrowland Fastpass: Frigid Space Mountain
During the Winter Months (including January and February), your usual Space Mountain trip will cross paths with a swarm of comets, giving a whole new level of beauty to your space flight... as well as danger.

Fantasyland Fastpass: The Knights of Make-Believe
With Fantasyland being so peaceful, these would-be heroes have resorted to making up outrageous stories about their "heroic adventures," often dragging hapless guests into the resulting chaos!

Adventureland Fastpass: Peace and Quiet (MK Version)
"All right, so the temple we're about to going into is so old that it could collapse on us if we're too loud, so for your safety, I'm going to shut up for a while, which I'm sure is the best news you've heard all year."

Frontierland Fastpass: Bill N. Bear
A major investor in the Country Bear Theater, this foppish bear has forcefully joined the show in order to try to show off his understanding of the rural lifestyle - keyword: try.
Welcome aboard the One Sentence Competition! It’s a great way to practice Imagineering even if you’re just joining us.

MAIN STREET FASTPASS -- Worlds of Tomorrow, Yesterday & Fantasy
Propose a new Emporium window display

0

The windows of the Emporium undergo a magical transformation, each featuring moving displays depicting elements and attractions from each of Disneyland's founding lands (saving Main Street, cause we are in Main Street); Big Thunder Mountain races through its canyons and tunnels, passing by the Mark Twain; a skipper boat travels through the Jungle Cruise, with Mara's Temple and Tarzan's Treehouse visible in the distance; flying ships from Peter Pan's Flight soar across Fantasyland, overlooking Dumbo, the Mad Tea Party, and It's A Small World, all of which are in movement; and the future is bright in Tomorrowland, as the Orbitron, PeopleMover, and Space Mountain move in perfect sync together in a looping sight of technological wizardry.

TOMORROWLAND FASTPASS -- Stitch's Stardust Dash
Create a seasonal overlay for Space Mountain
latest

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Lilo & Stitch in 2022, Stitch will return to Tomorrowland, invading Space Mountain, taking guests on a crazy rocket ride across the stars, racing by planets, through asteroids fields, and trailing the beautiful tail of Halley's Comet.

FANTASYLAND FASTPASS -- Alice's Caucus Race
Propose a new Fantasyland streetmosphere show

latest

Outside of Alice in Wonderland, the denizens of Wonderland gather together, led by Mr. Dodo, to run forward, backward, inward, and outward, running for ever more in a race that has no start or beginning, inviting guests to join in the mayhem.

ADVENTURELAND FASTPASS -- "Hysterical Hyenas"
Write a new joke for Jungle Cruise

IMG_7264.jpg

Boat passes by the hyenas -- "Uh-oh, someone left the laughing gas on again. Those hyenas will laugh at anything and everything. A pratfall, root canal, those losers in line for Indiana Jones without Fastpasses. The one thing they don't laugh at are my jokes, just like everyone in the back of the boat!"

FRONTIERLAND FASTPASS -- Shoelace Rudy
Create a new character for Country Bear Jamboree
3086436-paw%20rugg.jpg

Shoelace Rudy, who has been working at the Country Bear Hall for years as an unnoticed janitor, makes periodic appearances during the show, grumbling about the noise, the mess, and searching eternally for that beehive he stored for next hibernating season, only to find it in was under his hat the whole time -- having a real beehive in his bonnet.

MAIN STREET: CHRISTMAS KNIGHTS

TOMORROW-LAND: (AU) RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

For June & July, Space Mountain will be replaced with Rainbow Mountain, an overlay based off of Mario Karts most iconic track, uh tracks, as the ride (which is only different visually as the rides core is the same) goes through “the best of” rainbow road (this is obviously an alternate universe proposal).

Fantasy-Land: An “unexpected” duel

The show starts with one of the actors “challenging the other to a duel” (both of which wearing exaggerated medieval clothing), as they partake in an (again) exaggerated “totally real & spontaneous” fencing match, with audience participation thrown in (like one of the actors asking a guest to hold their (prop) sword as they partake in a duel of words with the other).
3A307825-1F10-43EA-9939-39A1C00B7780.png

Adventure-Land: Birdie

As you float by a bird who’s pecking at a coconut which falls in a hole (by “falls into”, I mean it’s simply pulled into there & put back after the boat passes by), the skipper says to the passengers “I bet that bird hopes they don’t get a BIRDIE”.
ADB49856-8E1D-4D8A-9CFE-E9D0F8CC79BF.png

FRONTIER-LAND: HON. E. BEAR.

This book smart bear may just be a backer of the country bears, but she’s far too headstrong to let a show go by without adding a little city flair with her own performance, unfortunately she isn’t the great singer she thinks she is, but no own wants to lose an Investor of the band.

CHALLENGE NINE
FASTPASS ROUND

enhance

While we’ve been exploring our perfect Disney Castle Park, we’ve been slowly gathering FastPasses. (They still use the paper system in this park.) And wouldn’t you know it, all of those FastPass windows are now open at the same time!

What that means is Challenge Nine offers up multiple FastPass tasks. This is a way to explore the finer details of our Castle Park. It’s also a way to get a whole lot of points really quickly! Each mini-challenge is 1 sentence each (and worth 1 point each). You can do as many or as few as you wish. Just remember there will be medals handed out for each FastPass task.

MAIN STREET FASTPASS
Propose a new Emporium window display

TOMORROWLAND FASTPASS
Create a seasonal overlay for Space Mountain
(in the style of Hyperspace Mountain or Ghost Galaxy)

FANTASYLAND FASTPASS
Propose a new Fantasyland streetmosphere show

ADVENTURELAND FASTPASS
Write a new joke for Jungle Cruise

FRONTIERLAND FASTPASS
Create a new character for Country Bear Jamboree

-Rules-
Use only a single sentence per FastPass to describe your idea. You may also use one image per FastPass if you wish. Note that medals will be given out for each FastPass, so this is a great opportunity to grab more points! The deadline is Tuesday, August 25th, at midnight EST.

-Tips-

KISS – Keep is simple, silly! With only one sentence, you can’t get too detailed. Think of this as an elevator pitch.

-Judging Criteria-
Is it creative?
Is it realistic?
Does it fit visually/thematically?

Any questions, please ask! Now good luck everyone! Create!

MAIN STREET FASTPASS -- AVENGERS ASSEMBLE
1598412068806.png

Although traditionally reserved for Disney Animated Classics, the inclusion of Toy Story has opened the Emporium to more franchises, and no franchise is more current beloved than the Avengers... this new window will show the finale of Avengers: Endgame (2019) with Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor engaging in an epic final battle with Thanos the Mad Titan.

TOMORROWLAND FASTPASS -- GROUNDHOG DAY
1598411540974.png

Join NASA on a special Groundhog Day mission, with a custom preshow starring the President of the United States (Alec Baldwin) explaining to all the latest mission to Outer Space: enlisting an elite team of "Space Groundhogs" to determine whether all eight planets will be having a late winter or earlier spring... after a short, unchanged "lift-off" you'll be shot out into the night sky, where you fly through the Solar System, passing each planet in time to hear one of the Space Groundhogs arriving and the proclamation of an "Early Spring", in the end, NASA celebrates all eight planets having an early spring.

FANTASYLAND FASTPASS -- HADES RECRUITS
1598413624699.png

Hades, Pain, and Panic wander Fantasyland in search of new recruits, all the while Hades complains he is "surrounded by incompetency" and the other two unmeaningly prove all of Hades points, eventually they settle in an open area and ask nearby guests to line up for an "interview" with Hades to determine whether they would make for good villains, in which Hades welcomes in all the child "candidates" and makes fun of all the adult "candidates".

ADVENTURELAND FASTPASS -- LOST IN THE JUNGLE
1598410816448.png

(Disneyland CA Only)

The boats pass by a stranded, middle-aged balding man who is shouting, "Help! It's me Swifty La Rue, Help! Famous Swifty La Rue Here, Help!" but the skipper responds is a hushed but angered tone, "Well that's what you get for feeding the ducks!", after which the skipper faces the crowd and into a forced smile / fake enthusiasm says, "Don't feel bad about him, he's from Hollywood."

FRONTIERLAND FASTPASS -- BO, THE BLUES BEAR
1598412809157.png

Bo is a suave "blues bear" with a very deep voice, never to be found without his sunglasses and black suit... he'll break up the songs by singing his "All About The Blueees, Man" Mix while the other bears provide a solid beat in the background.

BONUS -- NEW AVENGERS FACILITY
The "New Avengers Facility" from the movies is adapted into the real world, attached to Paris' Avengers Campus land in the park; this experience is very immersive (though not as much as SW, it's much more than any other resort) with a custom introduction featuring Captain America and more "special videos" from Avengers Heroes as you freely explore the Facility while you are staying at the resort.

1598414027514.png

Taking over the six windows at the emporium are now six different windows representing the different eras throughout the Walt Disney Company's history in early preparation for the company's 50th year anniversary, in which mostly all of the sets are replaced with the exception of a few pieces, in which the new scenes go from the early start of Laugh-O-Gram, to the Walt Disney era, to the Roy Disney era, to the Michael Eisner Days, to the Bob Iger days, and finally a diorama representing some brief Ips/park projects planned for the future.

TOMORROWLAND FASTPASS - Perseids
1598414062615.png

Introduced around august as a monthly overlay takes Space Mountain on a tour to view the absolutely stunning Perseid meteor showers which occur on the morning of August 12th and for a few days afterwards, in which guests are sent up to join the meteors among the stars around the star of Perseus for a viewing and a chance to fly past the fleeting meteorites.

FANTASYLAND FASTPASS - The Muses
1598414091183.png

Opening up in Fantasyland is a Greek theater inspired stage that hosts a show featuring the muses from Hercules as they retell stories and folklore from throughout Greek mythology and proceed to reenact them along with some musical numbers.

FRONTIERLAND FASTPASS - Jascha
1598414359637.png

Ole London Resort
@Suchomimus

A lot of the best Disney hotels are based on regions. A London with all these wings could easily be the next Polynesian! As a Florida native, the more urban London setting feels out of place for a Fantasyland connection, but thinking at the buildings in California it would fit a lot better! So, this depends partly on what castle park this is in how well the Fantasyland connection works. I love park/hotel connections though and something that spreads out the castle park rope drop would help a lot in the mornings!

Glacier Bay Resort
@InspectorSpacetime

Ice/snow themes. Rockwork. References to never built lands. Chances for a clever story woven through. A unique premise for a hotel. This checks off basically every box on the "Things Zach likes" list lol (My name is Zach btw). My only real concern is that something with this kind of theming would have to be very small and boutique to work visually. But that's a small concern.

Rubber Hose Hotel
@NateD1226

Easily the biggest strength of this hotel is the name lol. It rolls right off the tongue and is really clever. Black and White themed things are always fun. Not the most original idea ever, but a very solid one with a very fun name. With black and white themes being pretty common, I wouldn't have minded an extra word or two for what makes it unique from similar concepts. But its a common idea because it's a fantastic one!
