12 HOURS REMAIN FOR CHALLENGE THREE!

There might be fewer proposals in this round, so chances of medaling are higher. Go for those big, big points!

Challenge Three ended last night, I’m afraid. We’re now doing Challenge Four, which ends tomorrow at midnight EST (9 PM PST).

CHALLENGE FOUR
TOMORROWLAND

enhance

“Don’t eat in Tomorrowland.” No matter the Disney Castle Park, travel guides keep on offering this advice. The various Tomorrowlands (including Paris’ steampunk Discoveryland) offer exciting rides, bold futuristic visions…and generally mediocre carnival food. Mostly burgers and pizzas. That’s a shame when the other lands boast so many exciting eateries.

Your task is to propose a Tomorrowland restaurant which has good food and fantastic theming.

-Rules-
Use only a single sentence to describe your idea. You may also use one image if you wish. The deadline is Friday, August 14th, at midnight EST.

-Tips-

KISS – Keep is simple, silly! With only one sentence, you can’t get too detailed. Think of this as an elevator pitch.

-Judging Criteria-
Is it creative?
Is it realistic?
Does it fit visually/thematically?

Any questions, please ask! Now good luck everyone! Create!
There are several proposals to this challenge over the last two pages, if you’d like to see what folks are doing. We’re doing a new challenge every two days right now, with plenty more to come!

THE SHIP YARD

Nestled in the back of Disneyland's Tomorrowland you can take a step back in time while visiting the vast world of tomorrow by grabbing a bite to eat at the THE SHIP YARD, a restaurant themed to a space junkyard for retired space ships where the tables are literrally the ride vehicles of past Tomorrowland attractions that no longer exist: peoplemover, rocket rods, bumper boats, etc where you can eat any past meal option no longer served at Disneyland propper, step back in time for a bite before heading back out to the future!

Replacing the rather lackluster Star Wars Launch Bay in Anaheim, Tomorrowland in Disneyland Anaheim now sees a unique equivalent to the AA based table service restaurants in Tokyo Disneyland and Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, which takes place in the cafeteria of the 'Four Eye Corp.' (Incredible Insurgent Instrument Industries Corporation), a wacky Aperture Science esque tech company that has created comedically dysfunctional products and almost failed that has finally figured out the one thing it's actually good at -- food products and has not since changed it's name, hosting a food based convention in it's cafeteria, which primarily relies on experiment themed specials with Adventurer's Club type shows and characters.

Would it technically be cheating? If so, I'll delete the post, and I'll stay out for this round. I'm terribly sorry if it's cheating, since it's abusing the rules of the competition and defeats the point. I should have considered the consequences of my actions and that it's a stupid and incredibly rude thing to do. If so, let's make it a rule that the picture cannot be used to write any sentences and will disqualify the post and I won't do it again. If I have cheated, I hope I can be forgiven for it, and I am sorry, and I hope that if so, I can make it up to everyone, just tell me what to do.

Oh, I'm not calling it cheating. I thought it was funny more than anything. Of course, it's the judge's call, but I wasn't trying to call it cheating.

-Orion ‘s Base-
Loosely named after the constellation; and coming to a Tomorrowland far from you, Orion’s Base is set in a former smuggler’s warehouse; once used to harbor exotic beasts, invaluable ores, and lucrative oils and operated by hunters seeking the most dangerous game and barons seeking the richest deposits; now in its hold are juicy barbecue meat (with a vegetarian’s alternative), aromatic spices and sweet beverages, where once darkness and decryption were a norm, bright color and patterns of beasts and worlds now line the walls and floors, and its operators are now culinarians crafting the best barbecue, waiters serving hungry patrons and storytellers spinning yarns about the other worldly planets in galaxies far far away.

Waltz Upon a Dream

A new experience inside the Royal Fantasy Ballroom inside the newest Disney castle, guests of all ages (but especially the younger ones) will get the chance to dance in a Royal Ball with Disney princesses and princes with free dance parties at special times throughout the day and longer premium lessons/experiences available for an up-charge (Including one that is only for ages 16 and up who wish to learn to dance and Waltz in Walt's Park).
I can see great potential for this idea, Pi. One can easily work this into Fantasy Faire at Disneyland, or have it replace Cinderella's Fairy Tale Hall at Tokyo Disneyland. Personally, I'd love to see this at Walt Disney World myself. Since the Utilidors are beneath the castle, the only places I can think of are if Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is moved to Castle Couture entirely and it takes up the space in the castle, or if it replaces Mickey's PhilharMagic. Your idea is basically a more elaborate take on the balls held at Sweethearts Nite at Disneyland, and I think it'd be a wonderful addition to the Magic Kingdom.

Heck, you could even tie this in with the former Starlit Princess Waltz show at Disneyland Paris and have Rosie and Louis serve as hosts for the experience.

Thanks!

I actually originally had this idea ages ago and never used for a dream park where the castle had a vague mickey shape (cheesy, I know. But I was still new at this haha). One ear would be BBBoutique, one ear would be the ballroom, and the "head" would be a walkthrough and a restaurant. And there could be a premium most of the day experience involving all three. So, tying it vaguely to a move/refresh of BBBoutique at WDW would be a perfect fit! And that Starlit Waltz show looks really neat!
