How Will Loss of Pixar Affect Parks?

Name a classic film that Disney HASN'T exploited. Or look at the Buzz Lightyear cartoons. Oh man, this could get ugly.

    Pixar Ending Talks With Disney

I don't think Jobs is the active force at Pixar -- he's more like management. The guru of the creative guys seems to be John Lasseter, and lots of people consider him a Walt-type figure. It's just amazing to me that of their major releases, Pixar hasn't had a bomb yet. Surely they will have...

    Pixar Ending Talks With Disney

I think Pixar knows they will do fine without Disney, because people remember the movies, not the distributor. Just look at how well Shrek did, financially [and artistically]. I had seen Antz, which I thought was pretty weak, but I reluctantly took my nephews to see Shrek when it was first...

    Obscure WDW Monorail Trivia

We went to WDW yearly starting in 1972, and I don't remember the Express loop ever making regular stops at the Contemporary. It must have been an ususual situation. But here is another question about monorails. At first, all WDW monorails had 5 cars, and at some point they added a car to...

    Pixar Ending Talks With Disney

Has Roy Disney been spotted at Pixar's studio? Naw, that would be too obvious. I'll be they have been meeting at some obscure eatery somewhere. What if Roy was able to tell stockholders, "Dump Michael, and my friends at Pixar will sign a new deal." That's leverage. And it would be a...

Why not update special effects in old attractions?

The Small World rehab next year will tell us how this will work. I suspect that all of these dark rides also have structural/elecrical/HVAC issues that could use some attention, as well as show effects. So I think this is something that is overdue. As long as the core of the attraction...

Very upset over what I saw yesterday!!

In case anyone thinks this is a new thing, I recall guests being led backstage in 1987. I was a CM, and we were eating at the place behind the Plaza Pavillion, on July 4. We ate outside, overlooking the MO parking lot, and guests were walking by. It was weird, but necessary with the crowds...

    Stitch Escape to feature Skippy!!!!!

Gee, it seems nobdy remembers that AE was a replacement for another classic Tomorrowland attraction. I say, bring back Flight to the Moon! Or at least Mission to Mars, the real, non-nausea inducing one! Actually, both were kindof lame by today's standards, but really fun at the time.

    New Years Weekend - Crowded?

Thanks... I just moved our plans back a day, so we will have 2 days of crowds, but also of fireworks and midnights at the MK. Then we'll have 4 days of quiet January bliss -- I hope. It's a personal thing, I just hate crowds and waiting in long lines. Which is why we go in January.

    New Years Weekend - Crowded?

It's Monday, 12/29, and we'll be at WDW this Friday. Yay! But I was wondering how the crowds will be, since the MK is scheduled to be open until Midnight all weekend. Sounds like they are expecting crowds. Here's what I'm thinking: Wed 12/31 - Huge crowds Thurs 1/1 - Still crowded...
