Disney Playing catch up with Universal... Potter Disney's biggest mistake in 20 years...

I thought Seascape was Jimmy? Just because I refuse to be amongest the cattle being pulled around by the nose ring doesn't make me someone else. Sorry I can think for myself.

Disney Playing catch up with Universal... Potter Disney's biggest mistake in 20 years...

Maybe because they are combined. If a person spends a hundred dollars at WDW and another person spends twenty five in Paris that would equate to an average of sixty dollars a day combined guest spending. Pretty simple math. Everything else you posted is nothing more than nonsensical...

And has more parks which could dilute certain figures, like guest spending. So in no uncertain terms there is really no way to tell where guests spend more in Florida. One would simply have to logically assume the park with the most guests wins? SEC filings be damned. I hope this puts to rest...

Disney Playing catch up with Universal... Potter Disney's biggest mistake in 20 years...

I'm reading it now and so far there is nothing specifically about the Universal Orlando park detailing guest spending. Comcast theme parks are viewed as a whole entity. If this is considered proof Universal makes more money per guest its laughable.

So what is the margin on a Dole Whip after all the bills are paid?

Disney Playing catch up with Universal... Potter Disney's biggest mistake in 20 years...

Clicked on the link but I found absolutely nothing showing Universal guests are spending more money than Disney guests in Florida. Lots of news stories about Universal but if you Google Disney guest spending you get, for the most part the same stories. Any other proof or is Google all you have...

Unless you know how much profit Disney snd Universal make on everything they sell, which I highly doubt anyone knows outside of the book keepers, this discussion is terribly worthless.

Disney Playing catch up with Universal... Potter Disney's biggest mistake in 20 years...

Well apparently Universal supporters trot out a silly guest spending vernacular to combat pixie dusters raw attendance numbers. How you make more money and profit with less people is something they only understand but to each their own. If Disney fans are pixie dusters can Universal fans be...

    What do you drive?

There is the old saying you can judge a person by the car they drive. I personally judge no one but I love cars none the less. Here is my car, a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 2.

Disney Playing catch up with Universal... Potter Disney's biggest mistake in 20 years...

You would think so, but that's not the case. Even for the day DA opens. I have to wonder how many people in these apparently huge long lines that will happen when DA opens will be visiting for the day only to go back to Disney?

Anyone ever stop and wonder if Disney built two new E-tickets at MK it might mske the park even more crowded than it already is?

Wasn't this article posted in the Spirit thread already? Besides I thought Yahoo news articles were garbage anyway? By the way, had a trip in May, my Magic band worked flawlessly.

What are the visitor patterns/behaviors? Wouldn't filling high profit hotel rooms be paramount? If filling hotel rooms is not important or part of the visitor patterns/ behaviors why did they just build the new value resort? Pretty head scratching business plan.

If you really want to see something disgusting look at the carpet in the corners of any hotel room, Disney included. The corners will look brand new, compare that to traffic areas. I have never seen any place as bad as the All Stars or Pop Century.

How long out should people make Universal reservations for the DA opening? Its a little odd a quick check reveals you still have a myriad of choices for where to stay that week on Universal property, including all the Lowes resorts. Maybe the pundits might be correct in predicting it might not...

    The Spirited Seventh Heaven ...

Don't be so impressed with margins on paper. Here is a quick story I used to tell people about margins, it was true then and its true now. Say you owned a store and had items, like a light bulb for example, that you sold as a store brand. Those store brand items are extremely high margin items...

Funny thing about margins is, you can't spend it no matter how good it looks on paper. Cash though, you can. What would you rather have?
