How about a personalised Christmas tree bauble? Then can have the year on it also, for baby's first Christamas. We got a lovely spinning Mickey head one with our daughters name and had the year put on an ear - has pride of place on the tree!

She loved them in the parade, but would cry if held near a character. Yet if she sat on the floor and they came down to her (she wasn't quite walking), it wasn't a problem and she loved them - made for some great pictures. Sometimes it's just down to trial and error as to how they will react
