    DAS requirements

Not stupid! It's the disability access service, which replaced the guest assistance card.

    DAS requirements

Thank you, that actually means a lot as right now I am feeling a bit of a fraud even thinking about it!!! But I will explain to guest services my situation, and leave it to them to decide. 19 months and 2 surgeries and I am getting there, thanks. Will be a long process unfortunately but could...

    DAS requirements

Thank you for your reply, it has been really helpful. I don't want to be seen as trying to abuse the system as my problems may seem minor compared to a lot of people. But at the moment everything is a challenge, and I just want to enjoy my holiday as much as I can!

    DAS requirements

Hopefully this is in the right place!!!! I've been reading about the DAS, and I contacted WDW to see if I would be eligible for this - I know it gets decided at the park but wanted an idea to save embarrassing myself! The response was to go to guest services when I arrive - so thought with all...

    Anna and Elsa Fastpass

Thanks so much for the quick reply. Yes, we are staying off property in a villa so can only access them 1 month before. Will use the DAS then, am pleased it can be used for that as well, I will make sure MIL doesn't wander off :-)

    Anna and Elsa Fastpass

Sorry if this has been asked before, had a look and couldn't see anything. We will be coming out in just under a month, so now in the window to book our fastpasses. When I've got up and looked between 7-8am UK time (about 2-3am Florida time) there haven't been any FP to meet Anna and Elsa. I set...

    GIft Ideas

In fact, we have this one, with her name on the centre and the year on one ear. Although it's a Christmas decoration, it isn't Christmassy and I did have it hanging in her nursery. Good luck to your friends, exciting times!!!!

How about a personalised Christmas tree bauble? Then can have the year on it also, for baby's first Christamas. We got a lovely spinning Mickey head one with our daughters name and had the year put on an ear - has pride of place on the tree!

    Animal Kingdom or Epcot

Thanks so much for all your responses - I have forwarded them to my friend! Personally I think she should forget the Florida tour and just spend 3 weeks in WDW, but then I would ;)

    Animal Kingdom or Epcot

A question on behalf of a friend of mine. They only have a short time in Orlando on their Florida tour, and she has 1 day left in her plans but can't decide on AK or Epcot for that day. I am assuming they don't have park hopper tickets, as I would have said AK first thing, and then head over to...

    Question for adults attending MNSSHP

Do hope you were referring to the real Jack rather than my poor husband ;) But I know what you mean. I was so excited to finally meet Jack and Sally at MNSSHP and I didn't find Jack quite as I expected him to look

    Question for adults attending MNSSHP

Last time, hubby and I dressed as Jack and Sally - I had made my dress and got loads of compliments on it so was super happy. This year, I am Snow White (hopefully, so far my dress consists of miles of fabric), daughter wants to be a bluebird, hubby a dwarf, and the MIL - well it has been...

Newsworthy Things That Happened During Your Vacation?

For us, we were in WDW when the date for Prince William and Kate's wedding date was set. Being English, the amount of times we were told "Hear you have a big wedding coming up" was quite amusing, especially once I realised what people were meaning - the first time I did wave my wedding ring at...

    New Year's Eve

Perhaps go, but not be dead set on staying until gone midnight. Then you won't be disappointed if you do leave early - or do as we did and watch the fireworks from the other side of the lake. Then maybe get the best of both worlds as such. The atmosphere was great all day in the park, and was...

    New Year's Eve

We went to MK a few years ago for NYE. The park was at capacity by 10am, and it was heaving all day. Although our daughter was about 5 at the time, early evening we hired a stroller for her to lay down in and have a nap but she refused as was "too big for that!". So by 11, we were all very...

    Epcot Food & Wine Festival

We have been during the festival, and will be again this year - although not on the last day. We have found World Showcase to be busier than we have at other times, but not too bad. Though we haven't been on the last day so can't comment on that. However, if you haven't made the festival before...

Two year old's first time/tips and tricks

She loved them in the parade, but would cry if held near a character. Yet if she sat on the floor and they came down to her (she wasn't quite walking), it wasn't a problem and she loved them - made for some great pictures. Sometimes it's just down to trial and error as to how they will react
