Anyone still take the Walt Disney World Railroad before they enter the Magic Kingdom?

Whenever we ride, it's usually "The Grand Circle Tour" so we don't skip the walk up main street. We once sat in the last seats and spent the time talking to the conductor. I highly suggest it. It's very informative and this fellow was more than happy to answer any questions about the train...

    Character dining advice?

I second what Disneyfan39 said to the letter! Especially with young boys.

The plane used in the Indiana Jones stunt show

To me, it looks like a small scale replica of a real plane.

    Your first time at WDW

December, 1996. My fondest memory is either seeing the castle for the first time (even though it was a cake, it was still "fond"), or seeing the look on my wife's face when we first entered the MK through the train station. She had tears in her eyes, she was so happy.

Ride Operation Questions for Former CM's

I know every job has a certain level of stress, but could you elaborate on the types of stress that are involved? I guess one would not instantly relate stress and WDW. It's a side of WDW that the ordinary clod (like me) wouldn't consider. Thanks for any insight.

    Fantasyland Music

You might get some answers to your Disney music questions at www.subsonicradio.com. They play Disney theme park music. (I'm listening to it right now). It's great when you need a Disney "fix".

    New Rides

My two cents... It may be old fashioned, but I'd still like to see the Matterhorn Bobsleds built somewhere. Either in the 20k lagoon area or someplace in epcot.

    Airport to boot Disney greeters

It couldn't be a "Mickey" jet. It would HAVE to be a "Dumbo" jet!!!!!!!

    Airport to boot Disney greeters

I don't know about anyone else, but i can hear the PA announcement now..."Welcome, one and all, to Walt Disney World International Airport...." If I'm not mistaken, an airport was in Walt's original plans for Disney World anyway. Stay tuned, I guess.

    The Haunted Mansion

The free standing "carts" around the HM and LS do have some HM merchandise on them (Plastic skeletons, etc.).

    Magic Kingdom Bricks

We got ours in 1998 and it's at the TTC too. It's towards the back and way to the left. I think when everyone bought theirs, they had dreams of it being right in front of the MK entrance. I know I did. It's still neat to go back and visit it every now and then.

MVMCP 1st Timer Looking For Tips

Main Street snow is neat, but don't eat it. I agree that the best view of the parade is on MSUSA. For those of us who go to WDW only in the winter months (December, right before Christmas) it's a treat in itself to be in the MK after dark. Night time puts a different spin on a lot of the...

    The Haunted Mansion

My daughter bought one of the invisible dog leashes... I tried to talk her out of it. One thing my sister and I noticed on our last trip, in December, was that there was NO merchandise with the original (not the Tilly chick from the movie) MDM Leota on it. No shirts, no figurines, no key...

    2 MK Questions

Actually, we first went in December of 1996, expecting to see "the castle". To our surprise, it was "the cake". We went back in January of 1998, again expecting to see "the castle"...again (still) it was "the Cake". Only the 1998 "cake" was noticably faded in color. Finally, in December of...

    1971 NBC Special

I was reading "Since the World Began" for the 90th time and it says that NBC aired a 90 minute special in 1971 about the grand opening of WDW. Does anyone know if that's available anywhere? It sure would be cool to see.
