If at all possible, get your picture taken early. You have it out of the way and can enjoy the rest of the evening. Take advantage of all of the holiday shows. It is a lot of fun.

Don't forget your cookies and cocoa. :slurp:

It's a lot of fun and an event you won't forget.

I would say wait to have your pic taken until the middle of the night. The lines in Tomorrowland are shorter by then.

For cocoa and cookies, Adventureland and the Columbia Harbor House have the shortest lines. There's never a line for Haunted Mansion and it's a scary ride that late at night.

The Xmas shoppe often has carolers going through it in Liberty Square.

It's a fun time. Enjoy!

The second parade is usually not as crowded and be sure to watch it from MSUSA to enjoy the snow falling as the parade goes by. Try to catch as many of the shows as you can as they are wonderful. The fireworks top off the evening with a special addition!

I have never been, what tips can you give me?

Buy a Disney Holiday Hat and Join in the Fun! Santa Hat's with Mickey Ears and Reindeer Horns with Mickey Ears are Available.

Have your family photo taken first!

Ride the Mountains during the First Parade!

Take in the Snow on Main Street!

Visit the characters in Fantasyland later in the evening.

Join the Country Bears for a Holiday Musical Treat.

Make sure to watch the Special Fireworks!

Watch the second showing of the parade.

Pace yourself -- the park empties quite abit by midnight and you'll have most attractions to yourself.

Main Street snow is neat, but don't eat it. I agree that the best view of the parade is on MSUSA. For those of us who go to WDW only in the winter months (December, right before Christmas) it's a treat in itself to be in the MK after dark. Night time puts a different spin on a lot of the attractions...Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder come to mind.

It's a great event and you won't be sorry you got the tickets. Ah, here's a tip I just thought of....last year, we were in the MK that afternoon. We found out that they will let MVMCP ticket holders get wristbands that allow them to STAY in the park while they shoo everyone else out. That was a huge advantage. Otherwise, you have to leave and then come back and wait in the giant mob outside the gates until the party officially starts. They have temporary "wristband stations" (CM's standing on the street) set up at the hub, in front of the castle.

Have fun, and eat a cookie for me!

MVMCP is worth it! They have a special parade, special fireworks, you can get on all the major rides with little or no wait, you get free cocoa and cookies, and there are special holiday decorations up that aren't there during the regular park times. Plus it's at night and the park looks beautiful!!:xmas:
