News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

How is a show "perfectly scaled to the space" when the screens can only be seen from about 40% of the shoreline of World Showcase Lagoon? I thought the show was awful and a typical "Lets cram more IP into Epcot" effort from Disney. We got a good viewing point on the Future World side and about...

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

That's what I was thinking, perhaps using the trackless technology and projection mapping.

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

Sorry but the company that regularly opens new attractions at the pace you describe is a few exits up on I-4. The only thing Disney builds quickly anymore is DVCs because they are an instant money maker.

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

You and I are kindred spirits. After 40+ years of being a die hard WDW fan who went almost every year and owned DVC for 20 years, I've stayed 2 nights in the last 6 years and have no plans to return. I always dreamed of retiring to Florida and becoming part of the magic, if only on a part time...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

I hope those pilings disappear into the ground like the site of the mediterranean resort, so they can't build this disaster.

News Bob Iger is back! Chapek is out!!

You are correct Sir. Iger did serious damage to the parks and Chapek simply kept going in that direction and then some. I don't see any major changes at the parks as a result of this.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

You really need to get your facts straight before calling others out. MGM was a direct response to the announcement of Universal Orlando. Eisner wanted to beat Uni to the punch and rushed to open the park, hence it has never been a complete park to this day. The AK piece is false. might want to...

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

I am just waiting for the snarky ads that Universal is gonna run targeting the reservation system. It's not a matter of if they, but when they will do this. The low hanging fruit is ripe for the picking. If I'm Universal, I'm doing everything I can to open Epic Universe as soon as possible.

    New PeopleMover dialogue?

These look more like something that belongs in Pandora to me.

Where is Walt's plane? UPDATE - Coming to D23 2022

Underrated comment. Snarky and yet so dead on accurate.

    New PeopleMover dialogue?

I guess it depends on when your childhood happened. For me, it's a return to the way I remember it. Just plain "Peoplemover."

News Expedition Everest refurbishment in 2022

This points to one of the issues with park reservations. If you are a family that had planned to go to AK on Saturday and your primary reason was to ride EE early and often, you are stuck going to AK and having to wait until 2p before you can hop somewhere else. Losing that ability to pivot...

News Disney domestic theme park attendance now at 2019 levels with per capita spending up 40 percent

Yeah, I sold my DVC in 2016 because I could see where things were headed. Constantly paying more for less. I never could have imagined that it would get to the current state.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek suggests price hikes are coming to the parks thanks to guest demand

Please stop posting the man's picture. I gives me rage just looking at him.

News Disney domestic theme park attendance now at 2019 levels with per capita spending up 40 percent

This is exactly how I feel after 45 years of being a regular visitor and 15 years as a DVC member. I don't see the value in it anymore with all of the changes by this greedy management group.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

FFS WDWMagic, stop referring to the bill as "Don't say Gay". The bill has a proper name. Stop embracing the lies of the media. A site like this should only state facts, not promote political opinions/agendas. You disappoint me.

News Walt Disney World leadership reshuffle sees changes at the top of three of the parks

I couldn't agree more with this. The magic is fading but as long as the attendance numbers are strong, nobody cares. The current management has their marching orders and I don't see that changing. I have great memories going back to the mid 70's as a child and then with my own children...

Would you visit Walt Disney World with these health-based operational restrictions in place?

Could not agree more. As I said earlier, I am thinking 2022 (maybe late 2021 for the 50th if things go well with the virus). I have no interest in the watered down experience for any price. I will wait.

Would you visit Walt Disney World with these health-based operational restrictions in place?

See you in 2022. We were supposed to leave for WDW on 3/14 and were so looking forward to it. For me WDW is my escape from the real world. I have no desire to visit with these restrictions. Masks and the like will bring the real world into WDW and will make for a sub par experience. I will...
