All of these are bad. I probably miss horizons, imagination, illuminations the most at this point. But the most egregious move to me is replacing Splash - one of the greatest, most beloved attractions ever, still arguably the most popular in MK, for something widely regarded as inferior.

For my money, BTM has aged better than almost any other attraction (not just coaster). It’s as fun for me now as it was in the 80s. Bench seating with single lap bar = awesome SM should be first. And RRC And Buzz And Imagination….

Great show in parts, especially the open and close. Visually stunning throughout. Some real wow moments mixed in. But… music nowhere near Illuminations level. So for me, they only got some of it right.

Ok Fine. But it is still a single animatronic announced 14 months ago. Silly that it takes TWDC this long for such a small add. They’d be better served waiting on announcement until it is further along. Or better yet, having more substantial news to announce at D23.

This discussion sums up the sad state of affairs at WDW. That it takes OVER A YEAR to install an overhyped, overrated cloned animatronic, is simply ridiculous. Would have more impact if they would make these additions without such fanfare. But they had so little to announce last year…

It’s sad commentary that the bar is now set so low that this presentation seems better than D23. I am happy with a few of the announcements, but it is nowhere near enough to reverse the downward trend.

Putting aside the misplacement, it’s a ridiculous amount of hype and time to add 1 cloned animatronic. Imagine the social media frenzy if something like this was added on one of these 2-3 day refurbs WITHOUT announcing ahead of time. I think would be far more impactful.
