I'll second this - Boardwalk is our home resort for DVC and the beers here were great while the food was standard fare. ESPN zone has a decent beer menu with bottles of local brews from FL including several IPAs. Certainly not glamorous but you can view the menu here...

Given the potential foot traffic through there, I would expect some widening of that area by Jack Sparrow, but they might be able to make it work as is.

My wife and I went a year ago February and loved it. As others have said its a beautiful resort and there is a lot to do on site so well worth going to visit. Take a night and go to Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk. It will be one of the highlights of their trip.

I only saw the show once back in 2000 but enjoyed it immensely. Although the menu looks "meh" I'd go in heartbeat it they opened up entertainment again.

If you're looking for something more casual I'd try to get over to Beaches and Cream. Mostly diner food but definitely good with a fun soda fountain atmosphere and some great ice cream. I can't recall if they started taking reservations but its worth the wait!

I'm actually surprised they are looking to connect with Osceola Pkwy instead of Victory Way. Seems like a lot more work to fill in what they have here to reroute traffic but perhaps they are anticipating a higher crowd density than Victory could handle.
