Who has the better Main Street USA? I personally lean towards Disney Paris myself. All of the building are more detailed and there are so many more shops. If you have been, or based off video and pictures...which did you vote for?

Many of the facades at Disneyland Paris (and even Tokyo Disneyland) are taken from the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom tends to look too plastic whereas Disneyland Paris creates a stronger image because it has more authentic architectonics.

Totally agree, although I have never liked Tokyo Disney as far as Main Street or World Bazaar goes. The giant glass covering has throw me off both times I have visited.

It's one thing about DLP that I might prefer you have the enclosed arcades on either side of the main route which are both quite nice to walk down.

I agree with this, the flanking walkways are a great addition to help circumvent crowds and would be awesome for the rainy days in Florida. I will say that WDW does feel larger and more grand though.

Disneyland Paris is the obvious winner: complete centre street, two fully themed arcades with interesting museum-type displays, more detailed interiors, Walt's on the second floor of the west side, more vehciles in use and better seasonal decorations.

And while a number of facades are copied from Florida, several buildings (including all in Town Square) are unique to the park.

I also like how the Disneyland Hotel is done as an extension of the land's design and both work to create a detailed, complete experience.

They are the same size right? Yet it seems like Paris has more shopping and eating. Are they close enough to size that you could fit all the shops of paris into wdws Main Street?

Edit: Paris has always felt bigger when seeing it in person, but after googling it I see numbers don't lie.

Most of the actual street is copied from the Magic Kingdom. Eddie Sotto isn't shy about saying this (it was a last minute change dictated from above), even posting about the whole ordeal on this very message board.

I voted for Paris because I like the gazebo in Town Square and the arcades. I think the facades are well done too. I also like that the Main Street vehicles run later at DLP, at WDW they seem to only be out for a short time. However, I like WDW's castle better, and I like just having the train station at the other end. I'm not a big fan of the Disneyland Hotel looming over the train station.

Paris, no question. DLP's Main Street isn't only the best Main Street ever built, and the best "land" in that park, but it really should have retired the "Main Street" concept entirely. Once you do that there's no real reason to keep trying.

Oh I remember that three years ago I want to DLP and I really felt like I was at the hub in like a second compared to the one in WDW, I guess my knowledge of scale is not so great then.
