You're bringing an adult who has never been to Disney World; what is on your must do list?

Unless of course I believe they would experience a better day at Universal than Disneys stagnating parks.

.
You make it sound like I don't realize the parks are stagnant and in need of a lot. I've been highly critical of Iger and Disney in general the last 10 years. Universal's content is awful and the reason I can't stand going.

Disney Parks with 3/4 needing major TLC > Universal

And people agree with me...they certainly choose go to Disney parks more, so much so Disney is trying to reduce congestion during its most popular times.

1st it depends on the persons excitement to go to WDW. Bc there's people who have never been that really have always wanted to go, then there's others that just the whole theme park thing isn't for them. WDW can cater to both surprisingly. Epcot is perfect for grown ups. Even more so for someone who might not like theme parks. Bc they can ride a few rides in the morning against there will, but at any time after 11, you can take them to WS to relax have a few drinks and not have to wait in lines. Plus the dining is unbelievable. So I'd make Epcot a must and a go to for a grown up newcomer.

What is on your list of things to eat? Dole Whip and School Bread are my only real must dos. I tend to try new restaurants each trip instead of hitting favorites. I would highly suggest Columbia Harbor House if only for the wonderful second floor which is likely my favorite place to sit back and relax in MK.

What rides must they ride? MK: Splash Mt, Space Mt, Big Thunder Mt, Pirates, Mansion, Buzz, and Peoplemover. HS: ToT and Star Tours. AK: Dinosaur, Everest, and Safaris. Epcot: Soarin and Spaceship Earth. You could say Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Test Track or Toy Story Mania, but if their waits are very long, or you can't get a good FP+, they are all skippable (in my opinion).

Any show must they watch? American Adventure (I think it's one of the best attractions in the resort) and Phillharmagic if that counts.

Are there any things you'd do in order to tease them? Other than Beverly soda, I've got nothing.

Are there some things you'd go out of your way to avoid showing them? Or suggest to do something else on? Just avoid wasting your time on bad rides, especially if your time is limited. If you have a good amount of time on your hands, try to hit as much as possible. I mean the only attraction that might make someone angry is SGE or Figment because of the smells.

Is there a must see resort? I'm not that resort crazy like many people on this site, but I personally love the feel of Wilderness Lodge the most since it seems much more quaint than any other resort. If you have time, take a boat over there, you'll enjoy it.

Any other things you feel they must do or try? Know that taking it slow is not a bad thing. I always prefer a midday break and a few shows to get off your feet. All my favorite moments were those when I just calmed down and appreciated the environment. This is especially true at night when all of the parks really come to life and seem so much better. Lastly, I would also plan to spend the least amount of time at HS since there isn't really much there anymore.

The main thing that I would do differently than what I do now is slow down so the new person could take it all in. I'd still try to get everything in, but I know at a slower pace that would probably be impossible (at least at MK).

What is on your list of things to eat? Mickey Pretzel, Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich, Lunch or Dinner at Tokyo Dining, Be Our Guest, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie and The Boathouse
What rides must they ride? Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Test Track, Mine Train, Peoplemover, Toy Story, Great Movie Ride, Safari, Hall of Presidents, Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth and The Gran Fiesta Tour (I don't do "thrill rides" but those if they like them)
Any show must they watch? All of shows in Epcot World Showcase, IllumiNations, Fantasmic and Wishes
Are there any things you'd do in order to tease them? (Such as taste the Beverly soda) Club cool is a good option and to watch the Frozen Sing Along (which I actually liked)
Are there some things you'd go out of your way to avoid showing them? Or suggest to do something else on? Stich's Great Escape
Is there a must see resort? Grand Floridian, Poly, AKL, Wilderness Lodge and all of the Epcot resorts
Any other things you feel they must do or try? Disney Springs for sure and explore all of the countries in Epcot
