How Much Longer Will Coke Dominate WDW?

For real?! I assumed Coke outsold Pepsi, but I had no idea the difference was that staggering.

Can you remember the first attraction you ever did in Disney World?

Mine too! I was five, and for some reason have a much more vivid memory of that than I do of when I visited WDW for the first time at 21.

People bumping old posts, can we do something about this?

Agreed. The forum wouldn't archive old threads and leave them open for new posts if we weren't meant to use them anymore.

New Law to Stop Commercial Movie Sites From Listing Actors' Ages

It's absurd. Birth dates are public records, and IMDb is an encyclopedic database. It's not their fault that the industry has made it a résumé service.

What to do with old camera?

Cameras for Kids (warning, link plays audio on loading) might take the Coolpix. You may want to contact a local camera store about the Pentax. I know the guy who runs the camera shop in my neighborhood will take old SLRs to loan to the photography students taking film classes.

Cabana Bar and Beach Club at the Swan/Dolphin

It's one of my favorites. We even had our rehearsal dinner there when we got married. I can't give any specific menu recommendations because I've enjoyed everything I've had there.

Do you get "defensive" about Disney?

I don't get defensive anymore. I have learned to dismiss those criticisms. People who don't share my interests aren't criticizing me personally, and I can't be bothered to try to change their opinions. I ain't got time for that.

    Snowballs or Italian Ice

Definitely Italian ice. Cherry, black cherry or lime were my go-tos, but I like them all. I had an apartment across the street from a Rita's for six whole glorious summers.

    Wdw honeymoon

It's best to manage expectations when you're celebrating. You may receive some perks or recognition, but we're no longer in the days of automatic free desserts and champagne and room upgrades just for honeymooning. Wear the buttons or the bride and groom "ears", and you'll get a lot of warm...

Zuchini, mint & egg noodle dish in Italy

Tutto Italia did a pasta with zucchini, mint and burrata cheese. Was that it? Edit: This recipe looks like it could be a pretty close dupe, with some experimentation: http://myfoodbook.com.au/recipes/show/burrata-zucchini-and-mint-pappardelle

    Il Mulino

I haven't even found it necessary to make reservations at Il Mulino.

One Week May Be Too Long

I have spent as many as 15 consecutive days in Walt Disney World without needing an "off" day. Then again, I've also had four night trips where at the end I've thought, "yeah, I'm ready to go home." I think I started getting a lot more enjoyment out of our long visits when I realized that I...

    Large party dining question

For the second prong of your question, I would look to restaurants with private rooms. There are many, but Citricos, Jiko, The Wave and Trattoria al Forno are some of the first that spring to mind. The day after our wedding, we made a breakfast reservation for 20 at what was then Kouzzina (now...

    WDW Escape Wedding Plan

My suggestion was going to be the same as your coordinator's. Since you have a smaller group, you might be able to squeeze into the Belle Vue Lounge and take advantage of the board games they have there. The Cabana Bar at the Dolphin could also be an option. They have enough space that even...

    Rehearsal Dinner Ideas

We had a November wedding too! Our rehearsal dinner was at the Cabana Bar and Beach Club at the Dolphin. We had 19 people, but they can accommodate more. They sectioned off one of the cabanas for us, so it felt like a private event. We were able to customize a special menu that was served at...

    Remove the Crane at WDW

I quoted it from an old thread. I was actually googling for a photo of the castle with the crane in the background so I could Photoshop this myself when I saw that Crimson did the heavy lifting already. My hero.

    Eating at a bar

Meals in lounge ... my specialty. No, you don't need to make reservations to eat at the bar. The bars are all first come, first served. But in the case of California Grill, you won't be let up if there are no seats available. So don't try to go a half hour before fireworks because people...

    I'm torn

I agree with @HouCuseChickie. A quiet lunch outside the park is my ideal afternoon break. I'd definitely choose Kona Café over the Plaza, although I'd probably pick the Grand Floridian Café or the lounge at the Wave over Kona.
