    Dwarfs Roller Coaster Speed

I just hope that DL keeps them going!! I think the dark rides are what set Disney apart from every other theme park company. Not that the WDW parks have been completely stagnant, but it seems to me that WDW has been way more focused on its resorts for so many years than the parks. I am sure...

    Dwarfs Roller Coaster Speed

I apologize ... I have never been to DL and hence didn't know it was in Fantasyland there. Sorry for not being more well-informed. I have lived in Florida practically my entire life so I have not had the privilege of a visit to DL yet. Hoping to in the future though when my son is older...

    Dwarfs Roller Coaster Speed

Yes, I stand corrected - you are absolutely correct. I love IASW and Pooh probably as much as son does. I was saying that intending to mean that the ride should be accessible to young children as well (with a height limit close to what Barnstormer has give or take a couple of inches and not...

    Dwarfs Roller Coaster Speed

I am all for this type of thrill -- heck, I consider Thunder Mountain to be a big thrill. It is those among us who prefer the type of ride at the other Orlando park has more of that might be a bit disappointed. Personally, I like the fact that I won't loose my lunch on it and can enjoy it with...

    Dwarfs Roller Coaster Speed

Apologize if this has already been posted but news about the anticipated speed of the new coaster ... What do you guys think: 36" height requirement or so? I am sure this will upset some people looking for more of a thrill ride, but it is Fantasyland folks, a place that should be all about...

My 1 year old at Disney

Biggest tips I have, which have all been mentioned on the discussion boards at one time or another are: 1. Try to make a breakfast reservation for the Crystal Palace before the Magic Kingdom opens ... getting those pictures without the crowds in the background are so worth it and my son loved...

My 1 year old at Disney

Hi everyone, For all of you out there who might hesitate to bring your 1 year old to Disney, I just want to encourage everyone to do what they think will be best based on THEIR child's personality. We are fortunate to have APs and started taking my son recently, his first trip was on his first...

    Cars pulled over at EPCOT?

That certainly makes sense... just found it strange always seeing this phenomenon outside of Epcot and not at any of the other parks.

    Cars pulled over at EPCOT?

I have noticed them in the morning ... That's a good thought, but there are way too many cars always pulled over with people standing outside of some of them to be getting their tickets out. Anyone else have any ideas??

    Cars pulled over at EPCOT?

Does anyone know why there are always cars pulled over to the side right before the parking gates at EPCOT??? Just wondering ...

Ideas for DS - 1st birthday and 1st trip

We are taking my son in early November to the Magic Kingdom for his first birthday and his first trip. I want him to be recognized for his birthday and first trip, but I don't want him to stab himself with a birthday button or first visit button... Any suggestions on what I can do??? (he...

People Waiting at WDW for Harry Potter?!

I know this is going to sound cheesy, but Disney caters to the Peter Pan inside of us all. IOA provides an adrenaline rush. Personally, I love them both for those reasons alone. And can't we all agree that Disney doesn't have to have the best of everything and competition is a good thing!

People Waiting at WDW for Harry Potter?!

Fair enough... But you are forgetting about the elderly population. Disney satisfies the child inside of them too and how great is it that they have somewhere to go to and feel like a kid again. :)

People Waiting at WDW for Harry Potter?!

Well said. IOA is full of amazing thrill rides -- rides that would never ever ever be at a Disney park, because they are a bit too extreme (i.e. Everest vs. Hulk). I am sure some people think Disney lost out on Harry Potter. But I think Disney's potential loss is all of our gain. I don't think...

People Waiting at WDW for Harry Potter?!

I agree with you wholeheartedly... but the big difference I see is that Disney puts one ride toward something like Splash Mountain -- they didn't build an entire land complete with shops that sell things only true fans or those that are at least familiar with the books and movies would...

People Waiting at WDW for Harry Potter?!

I'm not saying that Disney shouldn't have gone all out to get rights to Harry Potter.... but who is to say that my 7 month old will have any clue who Harry Potter is by the time he is 8 years old or so and old enough to ride it??? I absolutely love Harry Potter and I hope my son has interest in...
