Actually the yeti lot has been open and been in use since October on peak days but they just added a really cool new yeti sign on the light poles last week (photo up at jamboeveryone)! The giraffe lot was then closed for roughly a month after yeti opened and just reopened before wine & dine...

The info about Lasseter I got first hand since I witnessed him and mcphee before during and after the ride! The Future World West managment team stated that it was 'for business' not just taking lasseter around for fun.

I wouldn't really consider this and 'update' or anything but yesterday John Lasseter, Jim mcphee and several other creative execs did ride on journey into imagination and john seemed to be talking jim's ear off before during and especially after going on it together.

BUMP As of yesterday (October 1st) the HISTA fastpasses are officially no longer being distributed and are listed as being "temporarily down" in the Epcot tell-a-cast! I guess temporarily could mean till christmas or could mean a year and a half, who knows....

well i certainly don't believe that fastpasses will be taken out at soarin- I just found it interesting that there was a proposal for maybe some distant future, haha however the evidence for the death of fastpasses at HISTA in october is that-you'll see them go away in mid october, ta da :D
