What's your tradition when you go to wdw

My oldest son and I always shut down the Magic Kingdom on our first night. We arrive at rope drop with my wife and youngest son. We spend the day in the Magic Kingdom. When my little one is done for the day, my wife takes him back to our room and my oldest and I hit a few rides. Then...

    Amazing moments

I took this on our trip this past Mardi Gras at Hollywood Studios. I think my 5 year old was kind of excited to be there:

Unexpected acts of kindness by CMs

Last year, my five year old was tall enough to ride Test Track for the first time. After we got off of the ride, as I did when my oldest son rode Test Track for the first time, I went to buy the on ride photo. The cast member printing out the photos heard how excited my five year old was...

    Magical Moments and REAL secrets

In one of our previous trips, my oldest son was picked to ring the opening bell at Columbia Harbour House. That was pretty special. On another trip, my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. We had reservations at Cinderalla's Castle for dinner on our actual anniversary. They seated...

I'm heading there for Mardi Gras 2013. Taking advantage of the kids out of school for the week. Because of the the Presidents Day holiday being the same week of Mardi Gras, we're skipping this year. We learned our lesson in 2010 with the crowds that week.

    BOY I Miss......

I miss the old Disney Store. Now it seems like, unless you are 10 or younger, there's nothing in it for you.

Disneyworld Behind our Steam Train Tour

We are going to WDW in February 2013 for Mardi Gras with my parents and my in-laws. Seeing as my dad and my father-in-law both love trains, my wife and I are thinking about booking the Behind our Steam Train Tour for both of them for this next trip. Does anyone have any info on what is...

    President's Day

As crowded as it was, we still had a great time in 2010, or maybe we were still flying high from the Saints winning the Super Bowl the week before and seeing "Who Dats" everywhere in Disneyworld. :)

    Pop Century!

We stayed at Pop Century for Mardi Gras this past March, which was the beginning of Spring Break. Yes the resort was crowded. The Food Court was packed. The lines at the cashier leaving the Food Court were long. With that said, we didn't have a problem finding a table at the Food Court...

    President's Day

We went for President's Day week in 2010 because of Mardi Gras as well. We had heard that Mardi Gras was a good time to go to WDW. The crowds were unbelievable. We didn't know that President's Day week is Winter Break for a number of schools in the north. But if you have a plan, you can...

    Most Heart Warming Feeling

Driving under the Walt Disney World arch is the moment for us. After driving under the arch in 2010, my then 2 1/2 year old saw the purple signs with the Mickey ears on top. He yells out "It's Mickey! He's here waiting for us!" Nothing like it.

    Wonders of Life at Epcot

We took a walk thru Wonders of Life last March when we were there during Mardi Gras. It was used for some exhibits for the Flower and Garden Festival. When we were walking out of Universe of Energy, we saw that it was open and decided to go take a walk inside. Brought back a lot of memories.

    Four Parks, One World.

I saw these in the parks when we were there for Mardi Gras 2011. Being the procrastinator that I am, we said we would get the CD on the day we left to come home and listen to it on the drive back to New Orleans to try to blunt the leaving Disneyworld depression, but we forgot to pick it up...
