Could it be? Are they finally legends of Imagineering

As to Walt Disney's Legends of Imagineering and the Genesis of the Disney Theme Park I recently asked author Jeff Kurtti about the status of the book. He said it's been pushed back to Fall 2007, due to some tweaking and re-designs.

Picture of Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow

Horace and Clarabelle did not predate Mickey; both arrived in the 1929 Mickey short The Plow Boy.

For a some really good, insightful thoughts on Epcot, check out http://epcot82.blogspot.com/ I also had a post on my blog back at the end of November that talked about the current state of Epcot. Take a look-- Jeff

    The truth about Jersey week

Lots of school districts throughout the south (especially in North Carolina) also had that particular week off. All the parks were very crowded, but it never proved to be a bad experience. The weather was beautiful.

    Another Troubling New Disney Bio

Neal Gabler's bio has been very, very well reviewed and well received. I am currently reading it and it is very fair and balanced. The title of this thread is a bit alarmist in nature. The writer of the MSN review seems to be trying to stir up some sensationalism where very little if any exists.

    Best Way around Jacksonville?

We drive straight through on 95 every time with rarely a problem. On a Saturday AM you should have no difficulty at all. You get a great view of downtown Jacksonville and its a very beautiful city area!

    Blackie's Black Day is coming

As a homeowner going on 10+ years, I think I'd trade it all for annual passes right about now . . . ;)

    What makes SGE so horrible?

Yeah, Stitch is a real demon. I was especially offended by his sense of loyalty to friends and family, his willingness to change and grow once exposed to love and family, and how he embodied the need for forgiveness and redemption. ;) Face it, Stitch is enormously popular with kids, and a...

    Crowds at DW

It was an extremely busy week at all the parks. It was Jersey week, plus a lot of other school districts, especially in North Carolina, were on breaks as well. Magic Kingdom was pretty packed every day. Wait times at headliners were typically 60-90 minutes by afternoon in just about all the...

    What makes SGE so horrible?

Where are all these screaming children on SGE? I've been on it numerous times over the past few years and have never seen any hysterical toddlers being dragged out by parents. Now Tough to Be a Bug--every show I've been to, there have been little ones having nervous breakdowns. Criticism of...

    What makes SGE so horrible?

A power surge just prior to opening caused problems all over the park that impacted wait times. Buzz was down for 45 minutes and that caused a snowball effect on its wait time the rest of the day. True, Stitch's wait times are shorter, but it's a higher capacity attraction and moves guests...

    Nemo Previews at Animal Kingdom

My family and I saw the very first show on Sunday, November 5th at 3PM. Very, very interesting as to the dual nature of the performances by the puppets and performers. Very creative in design and concept. The audience reactions seemed to be extremely positive. We really enjoyed it as well.

Jim Hill talks of potential Harry Potter project

Your defintion of journalism is not exactly the one I learned in college, and I have a BA in Journalism and Communications. Taking clues, hints and allegations, and reporting them as news? Those are the very things my professors taught me not to do! First, as I stated in the piece on my...

    Robin Hood

It did poorly during its initial release. They cut 20 minutes out of it for its 1979 re-release, but ultimately restored the footage in the 90s for video/dvd releases. With it and Pete's Dragon, they were trying to recreate the success of Mary Poppin, and both films could never live up to...

Does anyone like stitches great escape?

Kids loves Stitch. And it's nice to see a Disney character that the younger generation so strongly identifies with. The whole Spongebob thing is beginning to wear me out . . . I know a lot of Disney fans really resent the whole Stitch thing, but both my kids and countless others can't get...

Does anyone like stitches great escape?

I agree about SIR and Skippy--I think that and the XS mythology is what made me really grow to like it over time. I really liked it when they added the attraction at DisneyQuest as well.

    Mini Golf?

We've done Fantasia Gardens; haven't done Winter Wonderland. Fantasia's a fun course. Avoid it in extremely hot weather though--no shade at all.
