Hello! I lived at Snow White Village May thru August of 1985. Unit 34C to be exact. Your parking pass brought back memories. Where did you work that summer? Have there ever been any reunions for our class? Thanks. Just wondering.

    Online Surveys for Airline Tkts?

Has anyone completed the online surveys that promise 2 Southwest Airline tickets? Is this legit? I started one some time ago, and it seemed that you had to buy a few small items along the way. ($3 here, $5 there for product samples or newsletter subscriptions as I recall) Has anyone done this?

Anyone else see two fire-breathing dragons fighting over the Swan & Dolphin?

The "mourning the loss of the Adventurers Club" Thread is here....

I spent one evening in the Club about 20 years ago and really enjoyed it. I always intended to get back, but some time away from WDW and subsequent trips with little ones kept me away from the AC and Pleasure Island as a whole. I even have an unused PI admissions ticket from a recent trip to WDW...

One Day Stay...Which park would you choose?

My vote is for Animal Kingdom. Impressive thrill rides, fun shows, catchy parade, and the best themeing anywhere. It's Disney thru and thru. Notice not one person has voted for the Studios?

    20K Sub Capacity

There were 20 seats per side, making a full ship of 40 passengers. I worked 20K in the summer of 1985. Also, check the blueprints (in the Photo section) on the 20K site mentioned. You will see 20 portholes and also 20 seats in the down position. They are represented as horizontal lines under the...

What do you miss the most ? Now that it is gone from WDW?

I miss 20K. I worked on 20K back as a college intern. I also miss Mr. Toad, Alien Encounter and World of Motion. I really used to like the Main Street Cinema with it's silent movies. It was a great place to see an old black & white Mickey cartoon and take a break from the heat. I also fondly...

When Are the Quietest Times to Visit WDW?

We went in mid-May of 2005. Just about every ride was a walk on for us. I was told we were lucky enough (I'd like to say I planned this...) to have chosen to visit during a two to three week window between the end of Spring/Easter break and the beginning of summer vacation. Without a doubt, it...

    Disney magazine sadly missed

Can't understand the thinking behind eliminating this magazine. If nothing else, it was a 4 times a year ad for planning my next family vacation. I either subscribed or purchased every issue at the news stand for 15 years. How could it possibly have helped Disney to stop publishing?!?

    Buying Unused Timeshare or Hotel

Can anyone tell me their experiences (good and bad) when buying unused hotel reservations or timeshares on Disney property? Is it safe? Is it reliable? Are there any problems with Disney honoring the reservation? Do you go the eBay route or some other avenue?

    Favorite Parade

By far, my all-time favorite parade was Main Street Electrical Parade. No parade soundtrack could ever hope to compete with it. I guess it must just be me, but I find some of the characters in Spectromagic to be a bit creepy. Particularily the white faced trumpet players at the beginning. I also...

Best Time to Visit in May?

Two years ago, we visited the World much later in the spring than we had intended. Our trip was in early May. Much to our surprise and delight, we found nearly empty parks. Almost no attraction had anything more than a 20 minute wait, and most attractions were walk ons. The number of things we...

The best ride to capture the MAGIC for a WDW First-timer???

My first attraction ever (in 1982 when I was 17) was the Tiki Room. Turning off the hub on Main Street and going over the bridge into Adventurland is a fabulous experience in itself. It really immerses you in the themeing of the area. I loved the original Tiki Room because it was generic (no...

    Kurmedgeons

I can certainly understand and empathize with the original poster. There are certain entertainment/recreational things in my life I enjoy so much that I often wonder whether I will enjoy as much the next time. (For me, that includes Chicago concerts, Drum Corp shows, and visinting WDW.) I...
