When we were there the week before last they were working hard giving everything a fresh coat. The entire end of DTD smelled like paint...

It looks really good though. It's funny, for all the rumors that it's disappearing - every report seems to say otherwise... :shrug:

DQ is not going anywhere. That was an old rumor that was brought back by a Jim Hill article. I like the new coat. Before, it looked so blah.

I'm glad to see some attention to DQ. I can't believe anyone would approve such a massive paint job if they weren't planning on keeping it for a few more years, so I'd say the rumor of it closing by the end of the year has been proven wrong.

I noticed in December how faded DQ and Planet Hollywood looked and I am very pleased to see both receiving exterior refurbs. Hopefully they can add one or two new things to DQ too. The Alien Encounter area is a prime location for some new virtual reality game. Just don't touch the Pirates game.....

Of course we haven't seen any new attractions, but I visited in April and once last week. In the short 3 week span between my visits, there were MULTIPLE new machines. A really cool figher plane game that moves the cockpit all around (afterburner: climax), a few new racing games, fixed all of the waverunner games, new pinball machines, new madden machine, new golden tee machine, LOTS of stuff.
