The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh vs The Cat in the Hat

I was initially underwhelmed by both rides but every spin we take on Cat in the Hat makes me like it just a little more.

Peter Pan's Flight vs E.T. Adventure

Is Peter Pan more over-rated than E.T. is under-rated?

Which Hotel to stay at , and length of stay (Christmas)

The water taxis are so much better than the ones at French Quarter. Once we went Universal, we gave up on Disney. It's just a completely different experience. Have a great trip and let us know how it went! Oh, for the AP. If you are planning two trips in one calendar year the discounts can...

Which Hotel to stay at , and length of stay (Christmas)

It's a fair review. I do think Tom is selling the bathrooms short though. They are HUGE! ;)

Which Hotel to stay at , and length of stay (Christmas)

All of the deluxes are very nice. You really can't go wrong. As Parents pointed out, Hard Rock is the closest to the parks and Portofino Bay is the farthest away. The decision points are small. For example, Portofino has the most immersive theming. You won't feel like you're in Italy, but...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I don't want to sidetrack the whole conversation but Marvel is very limited in terms of what they can reject. Universal can do anything that doesn't present their characters in a way contrary to the way they are portrayed in the comics. For example, they couldn't make Captain America an agent...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Sure they can. The contract weighs heavily in Universal's favor.

It's time to end the clapping

I'm sure it's happened before. I don't remember any specific incidents of lukewarm clapping. I wasn't looking for it, but I have to think that we rarely ever experienced clapping at the end of a ride. I think maybe Fast and Furious but I have repressed that memory.

    Say NO To Genie+ PETITION

I have used TP many times before. Highly recommended, but not the same as paid line reservation.

    Say NO To Genie+ PETITION

There's a big difference between making decisions about what you want to do next vs. figuring out 60 days in advance how to work out your limited ride reservations around the dining reservations you made months earlier.

    Say NO To Genie+ PETITION

The pre-planning was over the top even for a pre-planner like me. But also, I have maybe one Disney trip left in me if that. We haven't been since 2014. We discovered Universal and EP. For what we spend at Disney, we can stay at a nicer hotel and have unlimited EP. There are trade-offs...

    Say NO To Genie+ PETITION

Genie+ actually makes me more likely to consider a return to Disney.

Race Through New York is good, actually

No one said anything about quality. Your argument was that "the days of a stationary vehicle looking at a screen are long gone" which is an absurd statement to make given that there are three such attractions in close proximity in USO. (If we're talking quality, we have to talk about Shrek...

Race Through New York is good, actually

The fact that these rides exist and draw crowds suggests otherwise. I think what you meant to say is that you don't personally care for them. Which is fine. I don't love them either but they continue to exist.

Revenge of the Mummy vs The Incredible Hulk Coaster

While I appreciate that Hulk is a great coaster, it's a bit much for me. My whole family enjoys the Mummy.

Race Through New York is good, actually

My family likes the ride for the most part. My youngest often names Race as her favorite ride. But we know even with EP, there's a good chance it's going to take 20 minutes or more to ride it. The wait in the lobby isn't unpleasant, but it's still a wait. And the actual queue once you get...

If you could add a ViacomCBS IP to the Universal parks what would it be?

This would be LESS streaming services. It's the start of the inevitable consolidation as the losers in the streaming wars try to work together to compete with the winners.

If you could add a ViacomCBS IP to the Universal parks what would it be?

It's almost as though capitalism has run amok? ;)

If you could add a ViacomCBS IP to the Universal parks what would it be?

And even that doesn't seem especially likely. They are talking about pulling their resources to take on Disney+ in the streaming wars. An actual merge doesn't appear to be a serious consideration at this point. It's apparently been floated as a possibility but the focus is on streaming.

Best ride in Marvel Superhero Island?

It's actually very simple. Universal had more pressing priorities. The Marvel land more or less works as intended. It needed updates, but other lands needed new attractions more than Marvel Superhero Island did. And let's not forget, Universal was also expanding its hotels, building a water...
