Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Ahh well we drive from Houston, so no MCO for us. Last I saw there was no gift shop on the Monorail or Skyliner (Bobs! missed opportunity!!), although I've not actually ridden the Skyliner yet. For the record I'm not saying WDW won't get any money from us, but currently there are no plans, and...

In general, this represents my family. Been long time Disney fans, In fact I've only been to Universal once. But the trip I just booked is going to be Universal/IOA as the primary, and we may spend a day at WDW or just visit property and ride the monorail / skyliner. I always felt that Disney...

Any body see Braden’s (MickeyViews) last video? He basically walked on Sorin’ , walked past the entire LL paid lane that had a noticeable wait. I feel like it is a perfect illustration of Disney today, pay more for less!

Very well said. I think for many it is the value proposition. I don't mind the cost and we are fortunate enough to be able to absorb a near 5 digit vacation to WDW without putting it on a credit card. But I want to feel like the juice is worth the squeeze, and it seems like WDC has gone to...

Does anyone else feel the urgency to visit WDW at this point more than ever?

I'm not sure this is specific enough yet. Also, this risks being offensive for the population of "over tall" Disney goers with a stature of >18' tall. ;)

    News Destination D23 2023

You sure? I've been assured by several people on this forum that the company is in great shape, and there is no risk to the business. D+ tis but a scratch and will definitely be profitable by October*. Stock is preparing for a massive jump (off a cliff). The Studio side is about to hit an...

I love the D'Amaro quote 'Things are about to go into overdrive at MK' Yeah, just you wait for us to announce things that we plan to do one day but will cancel before we do it. This is really exciting time for big fans of WDW. I suggest holding your breath as well, what could go wrong?

No. Love the parks but hate the (lack of) value proposition.

How much of the DIS stock plummet is related to the parks? In particular, WDW..

This is my perspective as well regarding WDW trips. Not going to happen until I see changes. The upside is it forces us to look at alternative vacation destinations, and we've enjoyed trips to places we wouldn't normally have considered, arguably enjoyed more than WDW trip, and had a more...

How much of the DIS stock plummet is related to the parks? In particular, WDW..

Any predictions on how much lower can the stock price go before the revolving door in the C suite turns again? Not that doing so will fix the stock price, but man anyone who bought near the peak of 190 has got to be pizz'd off (as Sirwalter would say). I predict the return of the dividend will...

How much of the DIS stock plummet is related to the parks? In particular, WDW..

The massive sucking sound of a money hole that D+ is on the rest of the company. No dividend is also reflective of a company that is not performing well, and dissuades new/more investors. And I believe the political bruhaha just causes people to take sides and retreat further to the corners...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Agreed. I’m currently traveling for work thus all meals are on the corporate card, and of course I’ve over eaten all week since I’m not paying. I make very different dining decisions when it hits my bank. I’d also say overeating has not enhanced my trip in any way.

News Specially priced 2-Day Ticket to EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom now available

I considered a trip to see JOW, but instead my plan is to crank up the Moana soundtrack, turn on my sprinkler system, then wander around my backyard. I figure I'll get 70% of the in park experiences of JOW at nearly infinite savings, plus I won't have to stand in line for an hour or two, and...

    Park reservations going away?

The website showed me a warning about park reservation requirements, when I was configuring a vacation package for March of 2024 yesterday.

He indicated the stock dividend would be returning by end of the year which as a shareholder I'm looking forward to. I wonder if we'll get more information on when that will happen, or how (I'm guessing) pathetic it will be to start out. But if nothing else I'm guessing we might get to hear...

Just a guess on my part of course, but for some WDC must be defended at all costs... to the death.

You hit the nail on the head. Iger is rolling back all sorts of costs anywhere he can. Besides, if you are laying off 5K+ white collar employees, no sane person would encourage building MORE office space! Disney is in major capital preservation mode.
