Why I may not go again

Of course, all that said, we are going for 2 weeks in July. It's still our favorite vacation spot, and still magical. We don't really get into the political stuff, or else we'd never enjoy anything. Just hope some of these non-sensical operational decisions are changed sometime soon.

Why I may not go again

The 2 things that bother us the most are park reservations and genie+. Paying for genie+, while annoying, is understandable, but why not just use the old FP+ system, where you could do it for your whole trip 60 days out, and then just charge us for that. The idea of having to go through the...

    What’s POSITIVE about disney recently?

A huge positive to me is the infrastructure and transportation improvements. The new overpasses and roads leading into MK make it so much easier, new entrance to the HS lot, all 4 of the revised park entrances are really amazing (including the security checks which are a vast improvement over...

News Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

I'll wait for my overall judgement until I see it live. But watching the live stream, the Coco segment - the colors and the music - was stunning. Probably my favorite early impression.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Nothing in my post indicated or suggested it worked for covid. It was only to show that there is a form of the drug used for humans, not just horses.

That seems like a lot of cases for Orange County. Don't they require masks in schools? If so - are they not working to slow the spread?

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Looking at the CDC Covid tracker (https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#cases_casesper100klast7days…) there is a good explanation. Here is the notation of disclosure for the data. Florida is reporting "date of death" instead the date the death was reported to the health department.

Good stuff, thanks. I'll go ahead and bow out of the conversation, I don't think I was contributing in a good way.

OK, thanks for that. I will stop posting on this thread. The last thing I want is to lead anyone astray, this is too important of an issue.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Noted - I'll try to add some commentary moving forward. For example, one of the things I'm trying to figure out with the mask thing is that it looks like cities/states/countries that have a high percentage of mask adoption, the case curves seems to be pretty much the same as the...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

That's a great question. One thing I love about this thread is that if I post data that I find or thoughts that I have, other folks can look at it from different angles than I did. I don't trust our leaders (on either side of the political spectrum), so I try to find data that will help me...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Denier? Maybe. I will defend your right to say that until the very end. The more debate we have over this the better. One thing that has really bothered me since the beginning of all this is that folks have divided into camps and are extremely unwilling to hear any other point of view. I...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

Would be interesting to see if there is data indicating that Universal's not requiring mask policy is contributing to the higher number of cases.

Theme Park Think Tank with Len

Couldn’t agree more. The more successful Universal is the more Disney has to stay on its toes. Better for all of us.
