Going to the movies is still a different level of commitment than streaming behind a paywall. I bet the ancillary sales also will show that over time.

I’m guessing a lot…if not most of that “new revenue stream” is offset by losses to better revenue streams…food and mostly merch from the declines in attendance and occupancy EDIT (forget the Halloween thing…Pirate was being a moron 🤪)

But my hunch is that’s only half the story

I think the deal with splash is it was the “total show”….its hard to find a ride with some drops and speed that also had that kinda AA presence and the songs/catchiness of it. As far as “total package”…I think it’s right there with haunted mansion and tower

Couldn’t agree more about Everest It was really great for the first year or two… Since? It’s a moderate coaster “meh”… A really expensive coaster in a $100 mil shell

There’s one huge problem with that (and I know it’s hypothetical)… And it’s NOT the paid line skips.

If you’re talking only originating wdw…it’s tower, flight of passage, safaris and “all the rest”

What I love about soarin is the simplicity of it… It’s not complicated at all…but manages to deliver a good time without tons of frills I always liked rockinrollercoaster for the same reason… Sometimes the more you spend, the less effect it has over time and takes money AWAY from the park...

It would be surprising if they do something major there soon But it needs it

It takes them about 12 years to decide to move a park bench. And the timeframe was like 2013-2020…they were packing people in/raking dough those years and no reason to change/spend money on more logistics. But notice the minute those parks shut - they axed it. And I wouldn’t have to respond...

I’ve posted that many times. Fastpass 1.0 was sustainable…fastpass 2.0 and genie are a mess. But all assumes they equip the parks properly…which Bob refuses to do. That’s the real problem Easy…I’m sure they’re saying because of the clogs/obstacles they create…and moreso strollers…not to deny...

Haven’t seen anything like that in 5+ years
