I don’t mind the novelty, or the era, it’s just that song in particular. Hippopotamuses and missing front teeth don’t bother me, but the weird grown adult attempting to giggle like a child is downright disconcerting.
I don't think it was the actual power consumption, it was the visibility of something that was definitely an extra. If you get rid of the more obvious "problems", people are more likely to overlook the other, often more legitimate, issues.
The original version of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus". The weird "adult singing like a child with missing teeth" thing grates on my nerves EVERY SINGLE TIME.
I can see both sides of the argument. However, my selfish concern now is how I'm going to be able to buy a decent Disney phone case since their availability outside of the parks is nearly nil.
Beyond just the film update, there should also be a series of physical updates. Projectors, speakers, seats, water effects, etc.. I visited a couple of years ago, and the whole attraction was getting pretty long in the tooth. I'd happily wait a little extra to have the entire thing revamped...
