Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

They have to give it time to absorb the traffic of everyone coming back who had to leave during downtime.

How is the opening of Galaxy's Edge affecting your plans?

Oh I immediately booked a trip for Sept 10th-14th after the announcement. I’m diving in headfirst.

Lessons learned: who not to vacation with

It's so tough to call sometimes. In February, my fiance and I went with my cousin and his girlfriend. I was extremely excited since they hadn't been in ages. While they had fun, they were somewhat of party poopers. They tired easily (which they shouldn't since we're all in our mid to late...

Theme Park Insider Theme Park Attraction of the Year

Spider-Man IS the best ride in Orlando, and possibly the world (runs close with ToT and IJA). What's sad is that: A) The best ride is not in WDW and B) nothing has come close to beating it in the 10+ years it has been open (although I'm sure Harry Potter will). WDW needs to step it up!

Locals: How often do you go to WDW??

I live in South Florida, so typically 4-5 times a year. However, this year alone I've already gone 3 times, with my next trip on Monday (I kind of don't want to go due to crowds, but out of state family is staying for a week), another one scheduled for May, and then another trip due to out of...

    Boardwalk and Super Bowl Sunday

I'm heading up to WDW on Sunday and checking in at AKL in the afternoon. We wanted to head to the Boardwalk that night to possibly catch some of the game at ESPN and then head to Jellyrolls. I can imagine ESPN will be packed, but how is the rest of the nightlife around there that night? Is it...

What year was Disney World at it's peak?

I absolutely think '94 might be it's prime. In '91, Splash hadn't even opened yet, ToT wasn't yet at the Studios, and even though '94 was the beginning of the end of Epcot Center, it still had all the classic attractions in place. I'm just looking at it from the bigger picture. And while AK...

Kali River Rapids - what is it like?

I have to agree with you there. It really isn't that well themed or impressive to look at. It's sole purpose is to get you wet. Contrast this with Splash Mountain, one of the best themed rides on property, and one that really builds up the suspense to your final splashdown.

Kali River Rapids - what is it like?

It all depends. I've been on it a few times, and every time I've gotten drenched while everyone else was lightly wet, or not even wet at all. As a result I've cursed that ride to Hades and do not plan on visiting it any time soon. :fork:

Does Disney loose any magic living in FL?

I know what you mean. I have family coming down last week of March and again in July. While it's exciting, because first timers are fun, I am not looking forward to the crowds and heat. I hope it's not too bad to scare them off visiting Disney again.

Does Disney loose any magic living in FL?

I've lived in Florida all my life, and gone to WDW all my life. It's practically a second home. I'm an adult now, but to me it's like the equivalent of going to grandma's for the weekend. I dunno...it just feels safe and comforting knowing it all like the back of your hand. I'm about 2 1/2...

A Nice History of the Contemporary Hotel

I love it. It's like the 70's version of an Aztec temple. A relic of classic WDW. And I mean that in the best way possible. How can it feel cold? It's right next to MK, and the freakin' monorail runs RIGHT through it. That's some Disney magic for ya. Maybe I'm biased because it was the very...

Old Disney Pics for you to enjoy

Oh man, the Bull Dog Cafe! That brings back some memories. One of my fav. parts of the Backlot Tour, seeing as how I was obsessed with The Rocketeer back then.

    Anyone else notice...

I get what you're saying about most movies nowadays being a remake, sequel, 'reimagining', reboot, etc. I agree with you 100%. Although this is not exactly an outright remake...more of a sequel of sorts, with a 'reimagining' of Wonderland. For example Wonderland is really called Underland, but...

    new disney tattoo (rib piece)

That's an awesome tat. The art really lends itself to a good tattoo. I know what you mean about getting your tat noticed by cast members. I always think someone might notice mine (retro Epcot symbols on left arm), but no one ever has with one exception: A few years ago I was at the Adventurers...
