    Why IOA is loosign attendance

Universal is claiming that attendence was up 3% across both parks in 2007. Now who knows if that's just USF (HHN, Macy's and Mardi Gras) or also includes IOA, but it's great for Universal!

    Universal Studios Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras for Universal is just celebrating the spirit of Mardi Gras, not the actual event. This is a slow time for parks and they needed something to get people through the gates, so instead of just a concert, they said, "How about a Mardi Gras themed parade and a concert?" It's no different...

nightmare before christmas ride to replace hunch back theatre?

Last Winter (2006) I said MGM was getting Block Party Bash, which was true. Last September (2007) I said MGM would be getting American Idol, which as we can see is true. This January (2008) I'm saying DHS will be getting a HSM stage show in the Backlot Theater (old Hunchback), which will...

nightmare before christmas ride to replace hunch back theatre?

It's going to be a High School Musical stage show that will replace Pep Rally. It should debut in the fall around the time HSM 3 comes out.

Is the Hunchback Theatre staying a theatre

Yes, the Hunchback theatre is still going to be a High School Musical stage show that will replace Pep Rally and debut around the time HSM 3 comes out this fall.

    Uni/IOA Janaury Update (w/ Photos!)

What about Countdown to Exti--- errr, Dinosaur? That's still one of my favorite dark rides anywhere, second of course to Spiderman.

December 31st, 2007 Universal Orlando Pictorial

Yes, they had a countdown with a firework going off at 10-9-8.... then at 3-2-1 it was like a mini grand finale. Then after that the regular 360 show began with a little larger than normal grand finale. They also had characters out in the parks, stilt walkers, gave out NYE hats and horns for...

    How Dumb can People be?

Well with the way it was edited, I think we're not seeing the full story. Maybe they stopped the ride momentarily so that an employee (they're all young kids as is so it could've been one) could go and get this all important hat? Idk, I don't think some idiot would have done this, and if so...

NYE at Epcot (video and photos)

Those pics are exactly the reason I spend my New Years at Universal and not Disney. Nothing like 10-20min on all attractions throughout the night. Longest waits were 30min for Spiderman and Hulk. Plus I got free party favors (hat and horn). I avoid Disney like the plague from Dec. 22-Jan. 2...

    IPhone at WDW

I know that it's not a replacement for my DSLR, but it certainly is sufficient enough for when I either can't bring my DSLR (the concert) or when I don't have it with me. By no means am I implying that you should just bring your cell phone to Disney, but am saying that some camera phones are...

    IPhone at WDW

I beg to differ. The Sony Ericsson K790 is an excellent camera/phone. It has a 3.2MP Sony Cybershot built-in with focus-assist and xenon flash. I use it all the time when my DSLR isn't with me. At House of Blues Me in Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, taken with flash. So, yes...

    Digital Camera Question

Photoshop?? I've never heard of that feature and not sure that it's even possible unless it's maybe a 3 CCD chip video camera where they could set the blue and green chip to monochrome and the red chip to red, but if that were the case, only red, blue and green would be selectable...

Has anyone heard anymore about an opening date for Disaster?

Guess they've never experienced Spider-Man, something Disney has never been able to duplicate.

    Downtown Disney vs. Universal Citywalk

Not anymore. The prices all went up, and since the CM discount is merely a student ticket, you only save 10%. Normal tickets are $10 and student tickets are now $9. :( I prefer DTD over Citywalk for shopping, as they have a larger selection of stores, albeit more Disney oriented as well, but...

Has anyone heard anymore about an opening date for Disaster?

LOL! January 2008. I liked all the old attractions b-roll in that. Good find!

Has anyone heard anymore about an opening date for Disaster?

I would expect it in May like they did Mummy. That way, they'll get you to come back for Mardi Gras from Feb-April, then they'll get you to come back again once they open Simpsons in May, then again for Halloween, and again for Macy's/Grinchmas. They got the whole year figured out!

Has anyone heard anymore about an opening date for Disaster?

Yes, and it's accomplished very well as he seemlessly interacts with the set. It looks great!

Has anyone heard anymore about an opening date for Disaster?

Sort of, but they also changed a portion of the subway scene that is important to the preshow. There's a reason it says, "starring you!" in the title of the attraction. It's worth checking out. It's definitely a step forward, not backwards.

Has anyone heard anymore about an opening date for Disaster?

The rethemeing of Earthquake is excellent and really fits into the theme park. I really enjoy the new technology being utilized and the cameos. I saw it twice tonight and the first time I had a female host who was excellent but the next time I had a male who made it work, but wasn't quite up to...
