Which means more to you: the Parks or the Characters?

Do you mean specifically at the Parks, or for Disney as a whole company? Holistically, the characters and stories (told through past and future movies) are most important to me, more than the Parks. But I don't go to the Parks to only see characters.

    What would you do?

You might also check park hours. If you're only there 2 days, AK has a slightly earlier opening and slightly earlier closing than some parks. Epcot opens later.

News New Park Entrance coming to Epcot

I feel like this is valid, but I also feel like Epcot would be best served by not trying to go cutting edge, in some ways. (Not that projection is cutting edge.) This is different than Tree of Life, and it has it's own character.

    MagicBand+ announced

Will there not also be tapping involved for LL and IA$ whatever they're calling it? (Of course that's assuming you would purchase one or the other)

I don't see an area for recharging capabilities on the side areas. Maybe it's wireless. Or like my fitbit, the charging connection is on the back of the wrist area. It's true. My husband once bought my kid one of those ridiculous cinderella bubble wands. That was a fun hour.

    What would you do?

MK is the must-do. I could probably spend both days at MK, actually, but AK would be my second park of choice because I love it there. Maybe one MK day and then one day split between AK and Epcot to see the new show? My husband would probably prefer DHS as the second day, but I don't think...

News New Park Entrance coming to Epcot

OK, ok. I love the Beacon of Magic. I still think the wording of all the things is a little much, but it looks beautiful.

Yeah, but everything Dooney is stupid expensive anyway.

Renting 1 DVC night during a value resort stay and Extra evening hours.

I believe you would only be allowed to access the extra evening hours for the night you are paying for the DVC room. I believe extra evening hours are currently only select Mondays and Wednesdays. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/extended-evening/

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I don't mind the actual new names or naming structure, but I also think Future World was a poor naming convention for that part of the park with it's current and future offerings. My biggest complaint about the new names is the poor delineation between "worlds."

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

You make some valid points, especially about People Mover and Jungle Cruise, although I haven't ridden the newest revamped version at either park. Dumbo is also better at MK. Magic Kingdom also has wider walkways and just space overall, and obviously DL doesn't have the 7DMT. My husband prefers...

News Contemporary Refurbishment--April to Sept 2021

Interesting. That's true. The inside of the closet and drawer are very Incredibles, as are the throw pillows and one piece of art. But the closet and drawer feel similarly to other touches in resorts, like the murals in the pull-down beds. IDK. I guess if I hated the franchise I'd be...

News Contemporary Refurbishment--April to Sept 2021

I agree that Moana fits in well with the Poly. I think the contemporary has an aesthetic, if not a "theme." It's a mid-century take on futuristic/modern, and I think Incredibles fits into that. Also, there are details in the rooms specific to the Incredibles, but I don't get overt THIS IS...

News Contemporary Refurbishment--April to Sept 2021

I guess I don't see the Incredibles as hit-you-over-the-head in these rooms. I know it's there, but it's not staring at you like the Moana rooms.

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

First, I think most people would agree that Disneyland Park is better than Magic Kingdom in pretty much every way. However, I would disagree that it's depressing to go to DAK for the cost. Most of the charm and enjoyment at DAK, for me, is not related to the rides. It's the ambiance, it's the...

Have you rented points as a trial to see how you like the DVC accommodations?

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I'm probably as much of a pixie-duster as anyone here, and because I only go occasionally, I'm not super invested in a lot of the nickel-and-diming changes, but I think anyone can see that Disney has been doing a whole lot of splendiforous marketing for relatively small changes.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I made my family rope drop a few times on our last trip, and it went fine. But we also took a mid-day break almost every day. My husband needed his nap. I see Genie+ in our future, regardless of whether I think it's good value or not, because hubby will believe the cost is worth his time.
