    I'm finally going to Disneyland!!

If you're leaving out of San Deigo, another fun place to check out is Seaport Village! Then again, there is SO MUCH to do in San Deigo alone! Have fun in Disneyland tomorrow!:)

maybe, just Maybe, I am going to Disneyland..

With more planning next time, maybe you could take a couple days to do the Disneyland day? I'd suggest driving the 1/101 down. It's FAR more scenic! It's a little longer, but's BEAUTIFUL.

    Any help would be great!

What are your spending habits like? Personally, you can save a LOT of money if you keep in mind that some of the BEST souveniers are photos. ;) What are your dining plans? I would say you could do it for $100 and have some spending money after eating, however, if you want to eat at sit down...

    Disneyland Earthquake.

Yeah... that's always scary. I was involved in the fires in San Deigo area last October. Nothing like seeing your mail box burn on TV to drain the blood from your face. We're holding our breath right now. It's a tinderbox, yet again. LOTS of dry grass. If someone so much as tosses a cigarette...

    Earthquake Today!

I'm in Escondido too, but work in Solana Beach. I was really surprised that we even felt it down here! No aftershocks though. At least, none that we felt.

    I'm finally going to Disneyland!!

One more thing to check out in the area- The Wild Animal Park in Escondido does "The park at dark" all through this month! DEFINATELY worth checking out! The lions in particular LOVE our So Cal nights!

    I'm finally going to Disneyland!!

Brewerys There is a Karl Strauss in Carlsbad that's MUCH closer to San Diego than DCA's cart. ;) There might be others too though. There's also a Stone Ale brewery in Escondido. I HIGHLY recommend that one! It's really facinating what they do!

    Club 33 - Almost there...

Ya know, after paying what I paid for the meal (which, for dinner, was upwards of a min of $50/person at the time) I wasn't able to AFFORD any of souveniers they sold. :(

    I'm finally going to Disneyland!!

A good way to estimate if Fantasmic will be playing, while not 100% right on all the time, is to keep an eye out for any of the areas Fantasmic uses to be down. If they are, there's a good chance Fantasmic will be down too. ;)

    The DCA Makeover Begins....

I'm going to miss the Mickey head on California Screamin! I guess I better take all the photos I can of it now. :( It was cool to go upside down in Mickey's head!

"Bat Day" in the park is in November this year!

I just learned that Bat Day (aka Goth Day) in the parks is in November this year. I seem to remember it being in August many years again, but this year it starts w/ events at the Doubletree in Anaheim in 11/8 and the day in the park is 11/9. Let's hope it's chilly for all those Goth's in black!

    I'm finally going to Disneyland!!

I don't see any of the areas used for Fantasmic on the refurb list. If Tom Sawyer's Island, the Mark Twain, or the Columbia River Boat go on the refurb list, so will Fantasmic. Keep holdin' out hope!

1st Disneyland trip and need some HELP!

It's not too far of a walk. You can also take the monorail if you're going into Disneyland. :) As far as character meals, I hear Goofy's Kitchen is great! Make sure you bring PLENTY of water with you and come with a game plan! It will probably be pretty busy that time of the year! If you...

1st Trip to Disneyland - WDW Veteran

Thanks for the correction! I think my brain just puts the two (danish and dutch) together. :) :p http://www.solvangusa.com/

    I'm finally going to Disneyland!!

Oops! I didn't see this post until just now! (That's what I get for not reading EVERY SINGLE ONE!:brick: Doh!) The good news is, just about ALL the kids will have gone back to school. The bad news is, it's most likely going to be a beautiful day at the end of peak season, so you'll run...

    Indiana Jones Adventure Question

My car often stalls in different places, and I'll get different effects every once in a while. It takes an eagle eye to catch 'em now though!

1st Trip to Disneyland - WDW Veteran

While it's a "classic", I bypass it. But then again, I don't like pea soup! I had lunch there several years back and nothing else I ate stood out to me. I LOVE eating in Solvang! If you get there during breakfast, you'll LOVE it! If you get there during any other time, I'd suggest getting the...

    Weather in early November

The Holiday decorations start going up in November, and the Halloween decorations start coming down. I love California in the Fall! The weather will most likely be sunny for you. But that said, it's not uncommon for the day to be in the upper 70's and the evenings to be chilly to down right cold...

    We're going to Disneyland instead!

Southern California public transportation is iffy at best. You might want to do some research and see if there is a shuttle that can pick you up from your hotel and take you to the different locations? I'm sure there are several. :) The trains aren't bad though, if you're looking to, say...

1st Trip to Disneyland - WDW Veteran

I vote for... If you want a "California" experience, by all means, check out the beach and Santa Barbara. If you want a UNIQUE experience - Solvang is my pick! I am (fairly) local and I go up to Solvang once or twice a year. It's crazy to see a dutch town right in the middle of California...
