we have used the trundle several times & my small 12 year old was fine in it. On our most recent trip in July we were told only kids under 9 were allowed to sleep on it (??). We have also brought an air mattress with us to use in leu of the trundle & that worked fine, too.

I picked some up the other day, too! I have also seen those same ones at the dollar store. Theya re always a big hit when we go & we bring a ton so we can share with other kids while waiting for the fireworks. edit to add..we also had an issue with a few of them leaking..not all but maybe 5...

I have been worried about this too, but it has never been a problem. My kids all put theirs in their carry ons (probably about 20 each) and I have about 7 on my carry on bag and they have been fine.

Wow..I wonder if they have changed this or if you just got lucky..I tried to use it last time I got one in another person's name & I was told it had to be in my name--it didn't matter that it was my address..Maybe I will try!:lol:

NOT that it makes it any better, but that was my first thought--why was an 11 year old alone at that time of night?? I wouldn't let my 11 year old go there (or any where else for that matter) alone at 2:00 in the afternoon. I hope the scumbag gets a real sentence this time so he cant do it...

There was some construction equipment there when we went in July and took these photos--looked like they were mostly destructing the old ones still. It was very hard getting pictures since there are so many trees--most of my pictures you really couldn't see anything other than trees.
