    Looking for Backpack Suggestions

My suggestion is a ROLLING backpack. it is so much easier than carrying a pack all day, but has the ability to be picked up at will (like when you are in a queue or in an attraction). Worked great for us in the past! Holly

What Is Your BEST MEMORY At Walt Disney World?

When we took the kids for the first time in 2000 (dd was 5, ds was 3), my dd's world was all about Snow White. We had been there a week and had yet to see her except in a parade. She had a sweet Snow White dress that she had been saving to wear, so we figured our last day at the MK would be...

    Disney World Ringtones

Verizon just put some Disney tunes on VZW tunes. I downloaded Supercalifragelistic and Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo. :) Holly

Does anybody cook stuff from WDW?

YAY! Thanks so much... stew just sounds so wonderful since it is sub-zero here! I'll make it tomorrow! It will be a perfect cold day / SuperBowl-watching meal! Thanks for the reminder on the Guinness cake, too! I had forgotten about that! Holly

Does anybody cook stuff from WDW?

Oooo... would you mind sharing the Guiness Beef Stew recipe??? Sounds wonderful and R&C is my husband's favorite place to eat at WDW! Holly

    Stroller/snugli ?

Yes, take and use a stroller... a 2yo gets VERY heavy very quickly, even piggy-back! Umbrella strollers are nice for their compact travel size, but consider a lightweight stroller that reclines for napping. A sunshade is a great thing too, as is a storage bin... one of the better strollers...

    Deals for family of five?

We recently had a room at AKL that had a queen, a bunk bed and a pull out single (sofa that flipped into a single bed), so we slept 5 EASILY and AKL is cheaper than Contemporary. :^)

    DisneyLAND Questions

Wow... thanks for all the opinions... This won't be MY first DL visit. My husband and I went in 2000 and did DCA too. It is, however, my son's first time. We were just at WDW in December, so we might be able to skip a few of the "Fantasyland" rides in favor of catching a few at DCA! I am...

    DisneyLAND Questions

My 10 year old son and I are travelling to Orange County in July. We will probably have ONE day to visit Disneyland. My questions are: (1) Is it worth it to buy the one day ParkHopper pass and try to do DL and CA in one day, or should we stick with just one park? (2) What kind of crowds...

When do schools across the US let out for summer?

We are out June 16th. I'd complain about going so long, except Michigan just decided that public school students can't start until after Labor Day. :^)

    Holidays at Disney questions

We were at WDW November 30-December 9 and had NO issues with the pop Warner crowd... we really saw very few of them in the parks. I think it is only an issue if you are sharing a hotel with them. We had a wonderful time... very low crowds... nice weather... Christmas fun! I liked the...

    Absolute favorite restaurant?

Personally, I'd do Hoop-Dee-Doo with the extra credit... although I tend to be more of an "entertainment" person... it is a fabulous show! Last time we went I laughed so hard my face hurt (although, the cast did go "off book" in the last third of the evening... maybe that accounts for the...

    Dining at the World

Rose & Crown, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Liberty Tree Tavern and Boma (at AKL) are among our favorites! :^) Holly

    WDW Ovalish Automobile Decals

You can find them on eBay... not "officially" sanctioned by Disney, but very nice. There are several sellers... search under "disney oval sticker" or "disney oval decal". :^) Holly

First week of December: anyone up for a mini-meet???

We are there Nov 30th thru the 9th. MVMCP on the 30th. Adventurers Club would be fun, but too hard with 3 kids! :( And we'll miss the "official" meet and greet at MGM as we have dining reservations at 4:10 (I believe those meets are at 4???). Holly

    Dining Plan Questions

Hi there... if you are staying 5 nights, you will receive 5 sit-down meals, 5 counter service meals and 5 snacks per person. Which days you use these on is up to you. :^) I believe all taxes & gratuities are included. If you do not order anything off-plan (like alcohol) you should not have...

    New Vacation Planning DVD?

Another Michigander here, too! Ordered mine 3 weeks ago... no DVD yet. We are now 23 days from our trip... Oh well, if it doesn't come before we go, it will be a nice post-trip momento... or that's what I keep telling myself! LOL
