PHOTOS - The Polite Pig coming to Disney Springs

That seems unfortunate. It either makes the 'From the Smoker' meals an excellent value, or the sandwiches a poor value (or both?). For a sandwich, side, and drink, you're looking at $20+. That said, that sandwich looks mighty tasty......:hungry:

PHOTOS - The Polite Pig coming to Disney Springs

Are there two different sizes for the sides? I know the menu only has one size, but I'm curious if a side that comes with the meal is a smaller portion than a side ordered separately.

    Driving Directions

I'd definitely stay away from GPS, and I'd be very careful with any other sort of turn-by-turn app (Google Maps, Waze, etc.) that uses a hotel and park as starting and ending points. Many of the reference points are either at the park's entrance or the center of the park/resort, throwing off...

    Don Rickles passed away today

Not necessarily. When Jim Varney passed away, Blake Clark stepped in to fill the paws and springs of Slinky Dog.

PHOTOS - New bag check areas greatly enhance Magic Kingdom arrival experience

Out of curiosity, does anyone know rough percentages of people arriving by each mode of transportation? I'm thinking if the new bag screening areas at the TTC and bus unload have enough tables to handle the respective proportions of arriving guests, this should be an overall reduction in wait...

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

It started when you said: To which I replied: Obviously, I was responding to your assertion that people should use their rental cars to drive off property to buy and do things instead of buying them and doing them on property. To think and imply that I have blinders on to the fact that the...

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

Obviously, I am fully aware that there is "stuff" outside of the path between MCO and WDW. But, like I previously said, when I go on a vacation to WDW, I'm going to WDW. Not to all the "stuff" outside of WDW. That other themed complex up I-4? I have zero interest in it. (That is, until...

News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

Aside from a grocery store to get some snacks and bottled beverages, where else would most guests go? Personally, I don't go to WDW just to go to off-property restaurants that I can go to back home. And I'm not going to go to Walmart to buy souvenirs just because they cost less. When I go to...

Annual Pass Previews of Pandora - The World of Avatar beginning May 13

Before condemning Disney for questionable email invitations, it'd be helpful to understand who did and did not get invites. If you live 1500 miles away and don't have a resort reservation during the preview window, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney didn't send invitations to those AP holders /...

    Pandora Soft Opening Watch

This is me, upon learning DVC previews start May 13th -- 5 days after I leave. Oh, sorry. I thought this was the SWL thread. :angelic:

    Goofys candy co question

Anything from the create-your-own-treat menu is well worth the money. (Dark chocolate and Oreo covered Gingerbread Mickey FTW.) Also, we can't leave without picking up a few pouches of the sour gummy Mickeys. Pretty much the only thing to stay away from is the by-the-pound candies...I believe...

    Gift Cards

I prefer gift cards for a few reasons. Mostly, I don't like carrying that much cash around. And as far as gift cards vs. credit cards, using gift cards means my credit card bill is much shorter -- one or two lines showing gift card purchases vs. a few dozen lines showing every F&G kiosk that I...

    FLIK Cards going away

The thing with measuring wait times via the FLIK cards is that they are never truly accurate. If a card took 30 minutes to go from start scan to end scan, and the posted wait time is set to 30 minutes because of that, that may not be the current wait time. That was the wait time 30 minutes...

New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Does anyone know how wheelchair accessible seating is handled? My FP window opens in a week (!!!), and I'm trying to figure out if a RoL FP will be helpful or a waste of a FP. Are all of the wheelchair seating areas in the back of the theater? Do they fill up quickly? I know that I've gotten...

    DHS Permits

Does "building" actually mean a structure with 4 walls and a roof? Or could it be an open-air structure of some sort? Just spit-balling here, but perhaps they're going to build another or a replacement boat dock?

Using Disney Visa for Dining Discounts

I'm not sure if I can post the link, but if you Google "AllEars discounts", you'll find a page with PDF files listing dining and non-dining discounts for DVC, AP, TiW, and Visa members. They are still technically for 2016, but I believe the discounts generally carry forward.
