Big changes coming to Annual Passes

Agree with you about the arrogance of this company. It's breath taking. If they are trying to thin the herd with this outrageous price increase, I'm willing to help them out. Between having to have my belongings searched like I'm a criminal upon entry to "the happiest place on earth" (even...

Big changes coming to Annual Passes

Looks like the decision whether to renew the annual pass or not has been made a little easier.

    Quieter vs. Loud restaurants?

It's a combination of loud guests in overly "bright" rooms with tile or hardwood flooring and stucco walls that reflect the sound. You know that Disney knows how to dampen the sound, but for some reason choose not to in most dining areas.

    Quieter vs. Loud restaurants?

Because of the outrageous prices and the noise levels, we either eat at the quick service sites or take food with us. Don't mean this to sound negative. We've been visiting the parks for 35 years, so we like WDW. However, the prices are prohibitive on most of the food and overpaying to try and...

    Quieter vs. Loud restaurants?

Hubby and I had to shout at each other across the table to be heard. It was a headache-inducing, $75 lunch that we won't repeat.

50's Prime Time Cafe- getting booted by Star Wars(?)

It would be a shame to lose it altogether. The relocation idea would be great, but, has Disney ever done that? I can't recall an instance of relocating a restaurant entirely. Of course, I can't remember what I did yesterday...

    Quieter vs. Loud restaurants?

Via Napoli has been prohibitively loud. We enjoy the food immensely, but the noise level is too much. If they are trying to turn the tables over quickly, maybe more timely service and less noise would be a more "guest friendly" approach.

    EPCOT CENTRE

Excellent summation. I can only hope that TDO is monitoring this thread and takes heed. It seems that the farther away from the original designers we get, the more astray this park goes. It was pure magic when it opened; now it just seems kind of tired and forgotten. Still love it, but it makes...

Disney begins sales of new 5 million dollar 'Four Seasons Private Residences' at Golden Oak

This is beyond what I can fathom. Who needs a house like this? Really?

OS: Confederate Flag Removed from Epcot

Well said. Couldn't agree with you more. The flag is a part of history, and that is where it should stay. Let's hope that we have moved on from that terrible time as a country; although, sometimes it sadly doesn't seem like it. Right now that flag is radioactive and more provocative than ever. A...

    Recipe???

Does anybody have the recipe for the vegetarian haggis that was served at the last two Food and Wine Fests?

    Disney selling "chocolate animal poop"?

Blech! Not my taste at all, but all who want to give it a go, enjoy!

Disney could lose $140mil on Tomorrowland movie

I have a real beef with Disney about what they did to John Carter. Unforgivable to take a 100-year old property that was and is so beloved and bungle the marketing so badly and then tie the material up another couple of years before releasing the rights back to ERB. John Carter has become one of...

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Agree. Not so bad in person at all. Not perfect, but not worth the angst.

I Am Literally Crying - EPCOT Tribute

You have stated this very well. Epcot Center was a different park altogether. I agree with everything you've said. (...still love the park, but...)

New Center Stage at Disney's Hollywood Studios

It didn't appear that there was any provision for any kind of retractable stage, and the stage that was there looked pretty permanent. You can call anything temporary I guess, but this looked like a substantial installation. Still not bad. Barely noticed it walking in the park. It really doesn't...

New Center Stage at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Saw the stage Saturday and it didn't look bad in the configuration it was in at that time. Don't know what it will look like if anything is added, but it really isn't intrusive as is. And I loathed the hat!
