    Wait Lists???

We thought we hadn't got our waitlist res because the 30 day notification window had passed. Turns out that it took them 2 weeks to send us it due to our location. It made for a pleasant last minute surprise.

A little help from our UK friends, please

From NI it's probably best to fly to Paris then get the train to DP (there's a station literally at DP). To go any other way would involve flying then getting a train then a ferry/eurostar etc. Then you could catch a direct flight from Paris back to the US when you're done. I'll be honest...

    Manta Queue Times?

It was an hour long pretty much all day today. If it's like that tomorrow then get the $19.95 "Quick Queue" ticket. It basically allows you to walk on to the ride with no wait as many times as you want (also applies to other attractions as well)

    Yeti Repaired

When I was there on Monday he was in B mode, but the ride had been closed down earlier in the day (I assume this was related). BUT the waterfall as you exit the mountain towards the loading dock was working because my sister thought it was raining - hilarious!

    Backlot Tour?

I heard the prerec sound for this the other day and was horrified by how bad it really was. The catastrophe canyon bit completely loses the sense of spontaneity so that entire section was duller than usual. The "conversation" between the two women was particularly cringeworthy. I don't care...

Have u ever been in a park & saw someone from home?

Yes, my sports teacher from the UK (saw outside MuppetVision). It's also happened to my family in Spain where we bumped into a former colleague of one of my parents. I also once went to AK and went single rider on EE in the morning then exited Spaceship Earth in the afternoon only to be...

flying first time and bag sizes

Okay it seems like there is a lot of confusion here. You can carry as much liquid as you want in your CHECKED baggage. there is no limit whatsoever (containers can be any size and you can have as many as you like. They do not need to fit into a quart-sized ziplock) Liquids in CARRY ON baggage...

Lunch can often be discounted for APholders etc. The menu's exactly the same as dinner.

    Cash or Travellers Checks?

Traveller's Checks are an absolute nightmare to deal with. It's much better to take some cash and then a debit card so that you can get more as needed (plenty of ATMs around). So many places take plastic that you don't really need that much cash anymore. Also using a credit card in conjunction...

Coming Soon to Downtown Disney - DIANA–"The People’s Princess”

Actually Diana Spencer was not royalty at the time of her death. the fact that she was/is still referred to as Princess is why she was coined "the People's Princess". This exhibition is probably about 10 years too late. The only thing in the UK left is a tacky looking memorial in the basement of...

    Dinosaur Rehab?

Indiana Jones is an archaeologist. So I don't think theming is really that big of an issue. personally I think the OP's idea sounds a little too close to the Jurassic Park movies. And aren't the space mountain tracks flipped (i.e. left turn becomes right turn, right becomes left). Although to...

Ever done anything stupid to spoil part of WDW for you?

Okay I've got a couple of stories that are just amusing (not all at WDW but all in the general area) 1) I'm sure many posters are familiar with the Mummy ride at Universal which is kinda split into two sections a story half and a coaster half. Also any contact lens wearer could tell you that...

    Resort room requsets not accepted

You can request a specific building at DVC. You've got to weigh up the best option though because the more general you are then the more likely you are to get the location you want. For example you're more likely to get a request for "The Springs/Paddock/etc" than say "building 12".

Water Parks: 4th of July Weekend

There aren't any obvious offers that I know of BUT if you have to spend $200 you might as well get the most for your money so get the water park annual passes rather than single tickets. That way you can go back again and again.

    DVC for UK Residents??

Vacation points can also be used to pay for other vacation locations around the world (although the non-Disney ones are generally less cost efficient). DVC has properties at Disneyland, Hilton Head (South Carolina) and Vero Beach (FL) and soon in Hawaii as well. It is still important to...

The Thrill Seekers Present: Haunted Mansion Music Video!

Ok.....it was a bit all over the place. I thought the music had been mixed really well with the lines from HM but it didn't seem to fit with the video at all. I think it would have been better to show the room stretching when that line is said. Similarly the guy hanging should have been at...

Need opinions on resorts for our next trip and other questions

Considering the number of people in your party it's probably worth considering the various "villas". A 2 bedroom villa sleeps 8 I believe, 3 bedroom - 12. This may work out better for you then the traditional hotel room style accommodation (if staying in a deluxe resort). It may also work out...

    Big Thunder Mountain RailRoad Question

The tunnel is just there in order for the track to go under the "river" so that's basically the motion it does.

Some sad news - what can we do?

How long's your trip? If it's not too long (say 1 week) then you'll probably be fine (based on the fact that it can take the best part of a week to organise a funeral assuming there's no post-mortem).

Which building is Best at ASMu?

I believe any building close to the food court/bus stops is preferred. I've stayed in Calypso when there were the mass Mexican tour groups staying at ASMu and it was fine. Noise wasn't really a problem because it had quietened down by the time we back from the parks at night.
