    Booked at CSR/switch?

don't get me wrong, if i do it, its going to sting. i may have to forego dining plans at good restaurants, etc. may not get another trip for awhile. also, i would need the discount. if i don't get a discount by summer, i am probably locked in.

    Booked at CSR/switch?

buzz, i don't know that we've ever spoke, but if you are CSR's #1 fan, i will go out on a limb and claim the #2 spot. what are your thoughts on this change to our home? i am personally devastated. i know most things change in life, but the large tower just doesn't seem to fit with this...

    Booked at CSR/switch?

what did you mean by this? did you see or learn something? i am in the same predicament as these ladies. i would like to rebook sooner rather than later if i need to. i will bounce to AKL if its advisable.

News Coronado Springs Expansion - Gran Destino Tower

As you can see by my avatar, the CSR is my home. This is devastating news. The tower is completely out of touch with theming of this resort which is one of the absolute best on property. CSR is probably the most underrated resort at disney. The resort is already quite large but sprawling...

    Waterproof mattress pads?

that's no reason not to follow the suggestion of the waterproof cover. a suggestion that is more reliable than the pad or could be used in conjunction with the pad. a suggestion, i might add, that the OP put in their own thread title first. i did not start this thread, so ease up. and if you...

    Waterproof mattress pads?

this is not even debatable. put yourself in the next guests' shoes and you've answered your own question. you get the waterproof mattress cover. we have to sleep in that bed after your ds. some hodgepodge of drop clothes and doggie pads or duct tape/whatever is NOT acceptable. do the right...

Upcoming WDW Trip...kicked out of Coronado Springs

CSR to POR is not an upgrade. on what planet is that an upgrade? CSR has deluxe amenities and better transport at a moderate price. their theme pool might be the best on property. but by all means, please don't stay there. i love going in january and i have the place to myself.

Any tips or suggestions for Coronado Springs?

i would not say you get immersed in "disney" per se, but you are definitely immersed if that makes sense. so if you need characters, whimsy, and other disneyisms, you may be a tad disappointed. perhaps you could say its not very geared towards kids as much as other resorts. however, i find the...

Fondest WDW memory from your childhood

So my memory or memories stem from the 70's and maybe early 80s [i was born a month before WDW]. We always stayed at the Contemporary Resort. The monorail and the concourse always get to me. The smells, the sound of the whoosh of the monorail. There is nothing like waking up to that every...

Remember when Epcot used to play this if you were the first guests there back in the 80s and 90s?

'93? looks and sounds like '73. thats not a bad thing. anyways, i agree that things just aren't [and probably never will be] the same anymore.

January packing suggestions and past coolish weather expierence

january is my usual time to visit. its a mixed bag. there was one trip a few years back were i wore my winter jacket [a thinner one] the whole time. i'm from chicago so i am used to it but it was cooler, overcast, and a bit windy. its the wind that gets you. if you say you are driving and...
