I stayed there several years ago. I joined Loews Hotels rewards program prior to booking the reservation and ended up getting a pitcher of milk and huge cookies left in my room after check in. The hotel was very nice, definitely many steps above WDW hotels in terms of room amenities.

There is no gas shortage in Central Florida. There is a wide variety in the prices for regular though, depending on which station you go to.
