    Mosquitoes at Disney

Mosquitos will alway be around especially when you come. September is getting to the end of the rainy season and one of the rainier months of the year so expect there to be some. The more it rains the worse they are. If it's breezy you won't have to deal with them. Bring some spray with you...

Ok...WITHOUT Getting Political...The Hall of Presidents Update

Pretty much. I haven't been in there in a couple of years. I usually skip it early on to do rides that will have longer lines early. As the day goes on, the wife and kids get tired and we end up going back to the room. If it's still the way it was, I'm fine with it.

Ok...WITHOUT Getting Political...The Hall of Presidents Update

Maybe have Washington and or Lincoln give a speech and then the current President get up and say something as the current Commander in Chief.

You Know You're a Hardcore Disney Fan When...

It was a yes or no question. There is no need to get defensive about it. I guess it's because you can't find a justification for it and people around you have tried to get you to stop. If you want to keep smoking, by all means. Just don't be a grouch to others or expect others to accommodate...

You Know You're a Hardcore Disney Fan When...

I take it you have no desire to try and give it up? The problem is, smoking is unlike any other vice. It effects those around you and for everyone else's comfort and safety it's easiest to remove smoking from the parks.

You Know You're a Hardcore Disney Fan When...

My daughter is watching Disney Junior and Winnie the Pooh came on. Of course, the introduction is the Cinderella castle while they play "when You Wish Upon A Star." Of course I'm ready to back back.

You look for hidden Mickeys when you're out at the mall, restaurant or any other place back home.

    Best time to go

Like someone else above said, if you can go in December before Christmas, go in December. September is still summer and it will be extremely hot. The 3.5 month old is liable to get heat rashes. December is much more comfortable to walk around. You don't have to worry about the afternoon...

    Orlando Gunman Scouted WDW ...

Don't know if this has been mentioned earlier, but remember that at the beginning of June when he went, was also Gay Days. He may have bene scouting or he may just have been there for the events. Seems like the guy struggled quite a bit with his sexual identity.

    AP and check in

They've never asked me in years of staying on site with pass holder rates. You're going to have your voucher anyways. I'm sure you could use that if the situation were to arise.

Paying for AP with gift cards

Shouldn't be a problem. I've paid for rooms with gift cards. Just don't throw away the gift card until you've used the ticket. If for some reason you to cancel and you can get a refund (which I don't think after you buy it) they only refund purchases made with a gift card by putting the money...

When does the next set of specials come out?

You just have to check back regularly to see. I'm waiting for Florida Resident or AP rates for May or so. I'm looking to see if I get away with the wife for a long weekend. There's a few things we've wanted to do but never do because we go with the kids.

How Many Days for You? Part 12

Just realized I'm arriving in 21 days. I'm taking the LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) the weekend before, so I haven't even had time to think about it. Wow. Once I'm done with the test I know that it will be all I'm thinking about.

    staying off site / anniversary

Honestly it all depends. Staying off site does allow you to save money to do extra activities, maybe add a day or so to your vacation. Staying onsite allows you to be completely imersed in the magic. You have extra magic hours, complimentary parking if you drive (sounds like your from...

    Adult First Timers?

Honestly, the best advice I can give you is to tell your mom not to go in with the mindset that Disney is for kids. There's something for everyone. If she lets it, she'll probably feel like a kid again.

    Pop Warner week

Like others have said, they won't be an issue at the parks. The food court might be a little crowded at your resort if you're staying value or moderate but the parks will be fine. You're before the Christmas madness, so you should be able to enjoy the parks just fine.

    January weather

Florida weather is unpredictable. January is considered the "dead of winter" in Florida with average morning lows around 47 degrees and afternoon highs around 72 degrees. If we don't get a front for a while, it will be warmer than that. If a strong front does come through it can drop it into...

    AP--Break even point?

Not exactly. There's usually a Florida Magic Your Way Ticket that gives you 4 days for about $260 with park hopper and taxes. You need more than 4 days to get your money's worth. My brother for example gets that ticket. He goes on two separate weekends for two days each and he's good. We're...

    Weather Patterns

If you're going to be here for that many days it's going to rain on some of those days. Sorry but that's the reality. What does help you is that the month of October is a transition month. We start seeing the change from the hot and humid summer pattern to the drier winter pattern. The middle...

    EMH at MK

If MK has evening EMH it's beneficial if you don't have small children. Crowds start to disperse after the parade and fireworks. We've had many trips where there are EMH till 2-3 am and after about 1:00, the park is empty and we can ride almost the entire park all over again.
