My trip is planned for Dec 6 -12 bc that was the week I could get a great deal at the Polynesian. I'm getting so nervous about the crowd levels due to Pop Warner competitions! How bad is it that week?

I've been during those dates a couple times and never had any issues. I think Pop Warner is their the first week of dec usually, could be wrong though. Either way I never found it to be bad.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
That's our fave time to visit amd do so for almost all our trips, and Pop Warner really has not much of an effect on the parks. It mostly affects the value hotels and some moderates where they are staying. They stay busy pretty much all day and go to the parks in the evening. We never noticed the parks more crowded because of them or notice any of them that much really in the parks. Don't worry it will be fine. If the parks are busier it is not necessarily because of them. But I really think you will have a wonderful time. And to add you won't have to worry about seeing them or hearing them around at your resort being your staying at a Deluxe. We always stay Deluxe and it was not affected by Pop Warner. :)

Like others have said, they won't be an issue at the parks. The food court might be a little crowded at your resort if you're staying value or moderate but the parks will be fine. You're before the Christmas madness, so you should be able to enjoy the parks just fine.

We went last year (2014) the same week as pop Warner. If not staying at the same resort as them you will not notice them much. We saw a few smaller groups of kids in the parks in the evening and some large groups when we went to Downtown Disney. The thing to worry about is the Magic Kingdom crowds on the non MVMCP nights as lots of people will come into the park in the afternoon and evening to view the nighttime shows and fireworks. There is only 2 or 3 nights that the MK does not close early due to the MVMCP. We have read the crowds are lower at MK during the day when the park does close for MVMCP as most people who do not attend MVMCP will go to the MK when there is no MVMCP so they can get a full day at the MK and take in the nighttime shows. The trip before this last one we went in early May and found the crowds more manageable then in early December (which websites say is the better time to go).
