Working at Disney- Ruin the Magic???

To qualify for most of Disney's Professional Internships you have to complete the standard college program first. Which is where Disney is getting the majority of their managers from, the professional internships. The CP is a career building opportunity if you make it one, it's the best way to...

    Rehire status

That makes sense, I probably didn't meet transfer guidelines at the end of my last CP, I had attendence reprimands. I have a full year with my current job, I actually have two jobs at the moment, one with a year of stability and the other with 6 months of stability. I plan to write them a nice...

    Chances of Getting Accepted?

No minimum GPA, you just can't be on academic probation or anything like that. All you have to do is be in good standing with your school.

    Rehire status

I have restricted rehire status. I'm not sure why exactly, I completed two college programs, was never terminated or anything of that nature. I applied to have my status lifted once before and wasn't succesful. I'm planning on trying again soon. But I was wondering if I had a better chance of...

    Chances of Getting Accepted?

I've never known anyone who's been turned down but that doesn't mean they aren't out there. They keep expanding the college program so they have plenty of spots to offer. I wouldn't be too worried, which isn't to say that I wasn't worried sick when I first applied.

Someone needs to explain the college program

The college program is really what you make it. For some people it's a semester off school at Disney World. You can have a blast with minimal responsibility. But if someone is looking for a real internship at Disney, it's there you just have to go for it yourself. You're given the chance to meet...

    height

I was never called into a dance audition but was still given a character role. A lot of character performers rarely end up doing any real dancing so if they like your height and your animation, you still have a good chance, it's just that when they see someone with dance ability they consider...

Why no ElecTRONica for DHS or PI?

Which is why I don't get the big deal. This seems like the type of attraction that could be hit or miss. Better to miss at one park instead of two. Midway Mania was a sure thing.

Why no ElecTRONica for DHS or PI?

Has Disney ever opened the same attraction at multiple parks simultaneously?

    Hat stars

Daisy and Minnie remind me of Ethel and Lucy in their overlays.

    Frontierland entrance work

This is a good backdrop and appropriate for any of the Frontierland characters like the Country Bears or the Brer characters. So it can easily be used when Donald isn't around.

    It's a Small World Updates?

The change from the water rides and the fountains within the park go to charity, I don't think it's Make-A-Wish but something along those lines. There's info about it in the parks.

    Hat stars

I kind of like the outfits. Sort of tacky Vaudeville. You know more like the cigar smoking agent saying, "Hey kid, I'm going to make you a star" than the glamourous side of Hollywood. More campy than classy.

    Changes at DTD

HOB's service industry nights are incredibly popular due partly to the house music. It wouldn't make much sense for them to change that.

    Changes at DTD

I think PI's real downfall was that Disney never updated it. It was very much stuck in the mid-90's. From the decor to the music being played, they just weren't up to date. Which is probably one reason AC remained so popular, it was themed in a way that it wouldn't have to change with the times...

    Looking for Robin Hood

He doesn't come out regularly but if he comes out anywhere Epcot is your best bet. Go to guest relations each day and ask them to check for you.

    ECV Rumor

WDW is a vacation. Everyone wants their vacation to be as worry free and convienant as possible. If it means pushing your kids in a stroller instead of dragging them by the hand everywhere or relying on a scooter that you're paying to rent, then I don't see the big deal. Obviously once in the...

    Odyssey looking a little purple...

I have no problem with the building only being used for events and backstage operations, as long as they keep the facade looking nice and not so outdated. I don't think Epcot really needs any more restaurants and it isn't really the kind of spot you could place a worthwhile attraction.

Stars make their appearance at DHS

The same thing could be said about most of the landscaping, housekeeping, and general maintenence around the parks. That's sort of the point, paying attention to such minor details that may go unnoticed some of the time. I feel very secure when Disney is willing to blow money on stuff like...

    Disney Changes employee dress codes

What was conservative 40 years ago and what's conservative now are very different. I think even with these minor changes Disney is still enforcing a classic and modest dress code. I think one reason for these specific changes is that these rules weren't being enforced recently. They'd gotten lax...
